Come On! You Can Do Better than that!

Well...I'm glad I got the sample first! This is not a good organic lubricant and a pretty bad lubricant in general. It doesn't last long at all and requires a lot of reapplication. It is safe for the body, use with condoms and all materials though.

Use

I really like organic and vegan friendly body products. I already have the Intimate Organics Hydra and love it. I love it so much, that I'm running out so I decided to try a new one. This lubricant does have a higher price tag for a small amount, so I got the sample size first to test it out before committing to the larger bottle. I am glad I did because I was not impressed.

The ingredients are all certified organic and are as follows:

Purified water, Plant cellulose(from cotton),Aloe barbadensis, Natural tocopherols (Vitamin E), Cyamopsis, (Guar conditioners), Hibiscus, Extracts of Flax, Green tea, and Sunflower, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol (rose ether). NOTE: My ingredients came straight off the package and differ from Eden slightly.

While it says organic, it is actually only partially organic. Some of the ingredients are not certified. It is safe for latex condoms, which is great. It is also L-Arginine, petro-chemical, paraben, and glycerin free. This makes it safe for those susceptible to UTIs.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture right out of the package is very nice. It is on the thick side for a water based lubricant. I have found this to be normal for organic or botanical lubricants. This makes it stay in place and prevents a huge mess. It is smooth and slick but it doesn't stay this way unfortunately. Just putting a drop on the back of my hand and rubbing it with my finger made it foam up (weird right!?!?) and smooth into my skin within like 15 seconds.It does make the skin feel nice and smooth though!

Taste / Aroma

I expected there to be a smell and taste to the Sliquid Organics lubricant, but I was surprised. There is no smell that I could pick up and a very light taste. It isn't bitter or gag-worthy, but it isn't something I'm going to be wanting to lick. It kind of tastes like water does if it has been left in a plastic bottle too long. If you find yourself wanting to perform oral after applying this, it won't be earth shattering if you don't wash it off first.

Performance

First, I used this during sex. We gave up on that quickly. At first, it felt great, but then within a minute it made us feel sticky and it didn't seem to mix with the already present lubrication on our condom. Thinking that maybe we were being to stingy with the sample, we applied a lot more for a second go. The same thing happened again. It did leave us feeling smooth afterward, and clean up (we needed a new condom though) but that isn't the only thing I want in a lubricant!

Using it for solo toy play wasn't that bad though. It probably works best with glass toys, but I was using it with a vibrator made of TPR. It was a good choice in one way since it doesn't leave smells in the material. I had to use up almost the rest of the package though. It helped me get the toy inside me with ease. Thrusting the toy was a more pleasant experience than during sex, but it still left me feeling sticky afterward. Dual applications were also still needed.

Clean up is easy with soap and water. The lubricant didn't cause any irritation to myself or my partner. It also didn't do any damage to the toys I used it on.

Packaging

I was very impressed with the packaging for it being only a sample size. The .17 fluid ounce pouch is made of a cardboard covered metal lining. The top rips off and so the pouch cannot be re-closed although it didn't leak at all even when turned upside down. I really liked that the package is discrete and easy to just throw in a bag or keep in the package of a toy for travel.

Even though this lubricant doesn't last long at all, it does have great ingredients. For some, it is essential to have the safest lubricants and this is one of those. It doesn't smell or have much of a a taste which is great too. But for sex, this is a horrible lubricant. If you are looking for a solo lube this may just pass as long as you buy the large bottle, apply often, and don;t like to use jelly toys that will most likely eat this lubricant up.

I hated this lubricant so much that it wasn't even worth using the rest of the small sample. You could probably get 3-4 uses out of it, but I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

I'll stick with the organic line from Intimate Organics. Those are sooooo much better!

Interesting. I got a free sample of this with a toy and decided to give it ago this evening with my Sqweel. Normally I need to reapply before the first orgasm even happens but this lasted beautifully. It is a little on the runny side but I really liked it. Actually thinking about getting a bottle. I also didnt find it anywhere near as sticky as any of my other lubes. Although my other lubes do have glycerin and some have paraben. I like that this one doesnt. I will buy this!!! Great review!

Maybe mine was old from eden? I don't remember if there was an exp. date. But either way...glad they've improved! Or maybe you just have not tried the even more awesome ones that I have? Let me know how it goes! Maybe I'll have to re-visit this.

Thanks for the review. Just curious, have you tried Sliquid Sassy? I'm curious if you'd like it. I think it's a good lube. I've never tried the organics though.
