Use

Soothe lube by Intimate Organics is wonderfully suited for anal sex. True, you may be thinking that there are plenty of "perfectly" good anal lubes already out there, but may I retort that "perfectly" is probably an overstatement. The market is loaded with water-based lubes that contain parabens and other nasty chemicals. And while silicone lubes are supremely slippery, they don't pair with the premium silicone toys we all love and use frequently. Oil based lubes are not condom-friendly and shouldn't be used for anal sex anyway.

Enter Soothe: water based and compatible with all manner of toys, organic ingredients and paraben-free, contains natural additives that are anti-bacterial and soothe the skin, thick as hell.

So, if you're someone that cares about your health, as well as the overall quality of your experience with anal sex, then this lube is for you.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

I've tried plently of water-based lubes that were watery and runny over the years. Then there are the ones that gum up on your skin after mere minutes of friction. Not this stuff. I found that Soothe was thick, almost like a gel. Actually, I was reminded of aloe vera gel when I first tried it out. When it is sqeezed from its bottle, it sits politely in a little swirl until applied. And when smeared over slick toy surfaces (like that of Tantus silicone dildos) it doesn't bead away like thinner lubes. Instead, it goes on evenly and holds there better than any lube I've tried save boy butter. Not greasy. Not creamy. Just clean and smooth.

Taste / Aroma

Soothe doesn't have any aromas that jump out and slap you. In opinion, rather, it has a very subtle plant/floral aroma, almost like chlorophyl. Its taste is also lightly sweet, but no where near as sweet as so many of the other water based lubes I've tried. Overall, I get the impression that the ingredients are genuinely botanical.

Performance

As for performance, I'd say Soothe lasted about as long as I expected it to. Certainly, it held up well compared to other premium water-based lubes I love such as Probe Thick and Rich, and Sliquid Ride. But where it truly shines is its comfort factor. I've used lubes that burned almost immediately when applied, but I didn't feel the faintest discomfort with Soothe. Actually, it felt incredibly natural and moisturizing; from the moment I applied it, to the moment I cleaned myself off. No burning, no irritation, no gumming up. Needless to say, I didn't have to re-apply it too often either. Afterward, I found that it cleaned up well, too. It left no residue on my skin, and no stains on my sheets.
