Durex Play more review

I've tended to shy away from lubricants in the past after an unfortunate lack of planning left me with a 24 hour bad taste in the mouth, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Durex Play More offers all the advantages of a lube without an offensive smell or taste; yes, I did dab a little on my tongue to check!

Durex Play More works fabulously with insertable silicone sex toys such as the Doppeltest Lottchen and the Pure vibes silicone # 74, which have surfaces that are naturally high in friction. It's also a must for any sex toys that are to be used anally, even ones with slippery surfaces such as the Pure Pleasure Glass Probe - it aids comfort and protects you from damaging your bottom.

The only toy I've tried that the lube put a dampener on, (excuse the pun,) was the TantraBeam Finger massager - it's a vibrating bullet that you strap to your finger in order to heighten your partner's pleasure when you finger her. A carefully controlled scientific experiment (well slapping a bit of lube here and there) revealed that lube can reduce the already light, vibration intensity of a TantraBeamed finger, making the experience less tantalising.

However, the sensations of sex toys with a more vigorous buzz, such as the clitoral part of the Pure vibes silicone # 74, are not noticeably confounded by using lube and in fact, the added slipperiness helps you to smoothly glide a vibrator over your zone of choice, leading to a more wide spread quivering sensation.

Aside from complimenting the use of sex toys, lubricants can be used to increase comfort during most forms of sex, especially penetrative. Many couples choose to use lube to supplement natural vaginal moisture and to provide otherwise absent anal lubrication. Some of my male friends tell me that a little lube can enhance hand jobs and I'll certainly be recommending this effective, yet light, product to them.

Because it's a water-based lubricant, Durex Play More can be used safely with condoms and can easily be washed away, therefore it doesn't harbour infectious bacteria. It's transparent and doesn't stain your sheets. If allowed to dry, it can leave a light film, but this is easily removable with water.

Durex Play More comes in a discreet, pleasing, light blue bottle with a pump nozzle which distributes the lube in suitably small amounts so there'll be no unwelcome premature ejaculations - at least not in the lube department!

All in all, a must have for anyone with a colourful sex life, or even a dull one!
