Eros bodyglide review

Eros Bodyglide is the first silicone lube I've tried whose performance truly lives up to the standard and pricing of silicone lubes. Excellent product!

Hallelujah! And praise the Gods of Lubrication! At last, what I have been looking for for years now—a silicone lube that actually performs up to my expectations for toy play!

I will readily admit, I am a fan of water-based lubricants|Water based lubricants for toy play. I generally find them more slippery and friction reducing, where I tend to consider silicone lubes|Silicone based lubes more slick and better suited to intercourse and water play. Eros Bodyglide, now simply known as Eros Basic, changed that opinion.

Let’s get the negatives out of the way first. This lube is expensive, even by silicone lube standards. It also comes (at least in the size I purchased) in a rather inexplicable SCREW CAP bottle that is VERY inconvenient! Not only can the lube easily spill, but it is definitely easy to lose the cap in the sheets and have it poke you in an uncomfortable place at the wrong time!

Now, on to the good! Eros Bodyglide seems considerably thicker than most silicone lubes to me when it comes to coating toys. It still, however, maintains the silky, clean feeling of a quality silicone lube, and never feels gunky or gummy or sticky. I tested it initially with a very challenging toy (the Pixie Plus), and it performed as well as any water-based lube I have for a difficult insertion.

The lube is very long-lasting, and despite the price, a little really DOES go a very long way. I did not find the lube dried out at all during use, yet it readily absorbs into the skin after use and is easy to clean off. It leaves the skin feeling nice and smooth after use. I found it easy to remove with an antibacterial baby wipe and a dry towel, and did not feel sticky at all afterward, even without a shower. And, speaking of showers, Eros Bodyglide holds up very well to use in water, as a good silicone lube should!

Eros Bodyglide|Eros bodyglide Lubricant by Pjur has given me a new outlook on silicone lubes, and I am thrilled to say there is finally a lube of this kind I can really depend upon to perform well in any situation (except, of course, with silicone toys!).
Follow-up commentary
This stuff is amazing! Truly AMAZING! The ONLY qualm I have about it is its silicone base that makes it incompatible with many toys. Seriously, though, if you want to treat yourself, splurge a little and give this a try. I'm not even particularly fond of silicone lubes, and I love, love, love this one!

This is one of my favs too.  For a similar one, but that is water based (ie, you can use it on toys), I suggest Pjur Aqua. :)

Essin' Em, I tried the Pjur Aqua and wasn't all that impressed, which was a severe disappointment because I love water-based lubes.  However, I tried out only a sample pack, and maybe either too much of it ran off or it was old or something.  Trust me, after trying the Eros, I'm definitely willing to give the Aqua another try!  Thanks for the advice!

Silicone lube shouldn't be absorbing into the skin...

To add to the lube recommendations- Maximus or Probe.

I probably mispoke about this lube absorbing into the skin--it's more that it just leaves a nice, soft, clean feeling and I don't feel like I need to dash for the shower immediately after use.  My bad.  I haven't tried Probe in too many years for me to review it, but I would DEFINITELY add Maximus to my list of recommendations.  I hadn't tried it when I wrote this Eros review, but now I would heartily recommend it, especially since I prefer water-based lubes.  Eros is simply my favorite silicone lube I've come across.  Thanks for the informative and usefull comment!
