Better Sex Essentials Silicone Lubricant is a great silicone-based lube that will work for solo time, partner time, and bath time! I found this lubricant to be great for masturbation as well as vaginal and anal intercourse. Of course, because it is silicone based, be sure to patch test before you use it with any silicone toy; normally silicone and silicone do not go together! This product is latex compatible.

This lubricant is very good for any water related sexual escapade, the silicone base gives it a nice waterproof ability. It is paraben-free, latex free, glycerin-free; this product is hypoallergenic! In addition to sexual fun, this lubricant is also good for sensual massage and softening skin.

This lube is very silky and smooth in texture, not at all greasy feeling. It is very easy to manipulate and spread around the skin. Better Sex is not thick, so be careful when pouring from the snap-top bottle or you may have a bit more than you intended. It is thicker than water but definitely thinner than something like Maximus. I would relate it to a very thin lotion. This is what makes it very easy to warm and spread for sensual massage.

From what I noticed, this lube does stay in place during stimulation. It absorbs well into the skin after a while, but it is reactivated by a little spit/water if necessary. It does not feel sticky at all, which is a necessity for me with lubricants. Sticky = major turnoff.

I do wish Better Sex Essentials Silicone Lubricant came with a pump top, just because I found pouring it to be a bit of a pain when adding more or trying to close the top with lubed up hands. I am a bit paranoid for spills, so I can't just leave it open on the nightstand until I finish. I want to snap the top shut then and there. All things considered it could be worse; it could have been a screw top!

This lubricant has no discerning scent to it. Blissfully scent-free!

As for the taste of it, I did go there. My partner and I sort of rushed into a helpful-hand situation and then I wanted to go down on him. It happens, the lube is already there, so you have to make a choice. I decided to try it, just a little. It's not horrible and bitter like other lubricants can be, but it does have a silicone taste to it obviously. To me, it tasted a little bit like plastic.

As far as health concerns, I'm not sure it's the wisest idea to be licking up copious amounts of silicone.

My boyfriend seems to experience a different clean-up with lubes, often opting for a quick shower. With Better Sex Essentials, he used a bar of soap and had more luck than he did with my liquid soap. He said that he didn't think it was going to come off either, but after drying off, his skin felt incredibly soft as well. All in all, I do think it has the potential to absorb into the skin perfectly, after a massage or love session. But clean-up will take a bit more than the quick rinse you might do with a water-based lube.

It does not dry out quickly, or get tacky, sticky, or greasy. You only need to use a little bit, too, so the bottle will last you a long time.

This lubricant comes in a basic clear plastic bottle, which holds 8oz of amazingness. On the front, as depicted on the product page, there is a yellow/gold/orange sticker with the words "Better Sex Essentials Silicone Lubricant." The packaging is pretty discreet, in my opinion, but I wouldn't leave it on the coffee table with company over.

The packaging informs you that this is hypoallergenic, waterproof, "expert recommended," and latex compatible. This product is also not tested on animals (ethical companies ROCK!) It has a snap top, which is simple enough to use. I think I could comfortably travel with it, but it depends on how paranoid you are about people seeing lubricant in your luggage.

There is also a warning that this product is flammable. So be careful, pyros! Better Sex also warns you that lubricant is not a contraceptive. And, of course, don't use with other silicone products (toys and the like). There is a description for its usage on the back as well, which seems a little silly but maybe you haven't used lubricant before...?

Found on the back of the bottle is a list of ingredients. Perfectly simple and concise: Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Cyclopentasiloxane.

I have used this for masturbation, vaginal, and anal intercourse. I have found it to be stellar in all regards! With anal intercourse, it's not too thin or too thick. My partner did mention that it was almost too good as a lubricant, because the pleasure he received from it ended our anal-session very quickly. Surprising, but wonderful nonetheless. You won't just feel gloppy amounts of lube when using this product, it'll be silky and just thin enough to give you a wonderful natural feeling.
