This an excellent water-based lubricant that will serve useful for all of your needs. Maximus is my go-to lubricant for vaginal, anal, and masturbating purposes. It feels like a lotion in your hand and is one of the thicker water-based lubes, and it goes on like silk, and then that big cock can just slide right in to even the tightest of holes. Maximus can get a little messy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Just remember to keep a towel handy to wipe your hands off!
It lasts for a long time without having to reapply due in part to the high glycol content, so it makes for an excellent anal lube. I do have to reapply after any extended anal adventuring. It also doesn't leave you feeling sticky after you're done. It just magically disappears! My partner also uses this lube for masturbating (as do I!), so we go through several bottles a year, and I have introduced several of my friends to this also, and they are all hooked. Since it's water based, it's very easy to clean up after; just wipe it right off. It isn't flavored and doesn't have any odors. Having no odor is something I find important for any type of anal play, but you may want to think about if you're looking for a flavored foreplay lube. The 8.25 oz bottles last a long time.

I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?

I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.

Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

Is Maximus as Great as The Reviews Say?

Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.
Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.
I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me. -
This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

It is slightly bitter but not bothersome. It is thicker and also works very well for anal. I never feel the need to wash it off unless I overdue in the heat of passion.

Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.

It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5
I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad -
