Fizz lubricant

Lubricant by Topco
Review by: Saurou

Haslin and I had never played with an “enhancing” lubricant before and since Fizz is water-based (condom and toy friendly) and sugar-free (vagina friendly), it seemed like the perfect choice. Fizz comes in six different soda flavors and we ordered the lime one. I didn’t think that 5oz would be all that much, but you really get a lot of this stuff and I’m sure it will last us a while. Definitely a good value for the price. The packaging is really cute and fun. Not only is it shaped like a soda bottle with a plastic bottle cap, it even has a “Nutrition Facts” section with things like the serving size: “Lotsa Licks” and states that the contents are “a significant source of excitement and satisfaction.” How great is that?

My only real disappointment came when I opened it up for the first time. After removing the safety seal, I found out that it really does open like a soda bottle! The top is just open, like you could tip it back and drink. This makes it extremely hard to get a controllable amount of lube out of the bottle. For a while I was having fears of a “too much ketchup on my fries” incident while pouring it out onto my fingers. Once you get used to it, the lube is thick enough that if you tip the bottle slightly you can turn it upright again once a bit has poured out with little mess. It took some practice, but now I have very little trouble, though it still takes concentration. If the lube was any thinner, it would be impossible to handle.

The lime flavor is, well, just that—it’s lime flavored lube. I wouldn't want to drink it all day, but it doesn't taste at all bad. Just don’t expect it to taste just like Sprite; it tastes like flavored lube. It still beats our unflavored ones and the other flavors we've tried. It's sweet and there's no aftertaste. Fizz is thick, which I tend to prefer since I can put some on my fingers, climb over to my partner and it hasn’t run down my hand onto the sheets. My partner loved it right off. The fizzing sensation is more of a tingle, but very enjoyable. The first time, I wasn’t sure if I liked the fizzing or not, but the second time I gave it a try, I loved it as well. It doesn’t dry out quickly and though not as explosive as how you would think having Pop Rocks in your sexy-bits would feel, the sensation is very distinct. It’s a tiny little tickle and, well, fizzy. It’s feels like there’s something moving on your clit even when you know there isn’t. It’s a nice tease to add to the rest of the evening. We definitely keep our Fizz lubricant right next to the bed and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve upon the standard water-based lube.

Okay, so there wasn't enough room to include this before:  being a thick lube, we have found that Fizz is a little sticky as it begins to dry, especially on my fingers.  It's a little bothersome at the moment, but it doesn't dry with flaking or a residue and instead absorbs into your skin without a sticky feeling left behind.

Neither of us have had any trouble with it feeling sticky anywhere else but on our hands.  We also haven't had any trouble with it staining any fabrics it got on.  And as an update: I can now pour out the desired about of lube in the dark!   So the crazy top is workable, it just takes practice!  And hey- it's not like the practice isn't fun right?

Rating by reviewer:
  • Pros

Doesn't dry out, good amount for the price, great tingling sensation.

  • Cons

The design of the bottle makes it extremely difficult to control the amount of lube when pouring.

  • Summary

Despite being difficult to pour, Fizz is a great tingling lube that doesn't dry out and the lime flavor is mild and not unenjoyable.
