Sliquid organics gel - water based lube by Sliquid, LLC - review by leatherlover

Over the years my wife and I have used various lubes. Silicone based and water based, but we have developed a preference for water based. However, water based lubes tend to be runnier than silicone and oil, and can easily be washed away in shower play, or worn out by extended anal sessions. My wife also has a lot of food allergies, so we have to be careful with which lube we choose to prevent UTI's. We settled on Sliquid lubes a few years ago, and it has worked out great so far. But the plain old water based lube from them sometimes seemed to wear out a little too quickly, and was runny when applying it to toys or my penis. Then I heard about this Sliquid Organics Gel that Lucky21 reviewed, and it sounded like a great one to try out.

This is a water based lube, but instead of coming out really runny and messy, it is in a gel form. After you squeeze it out from the bottle, you spread it out on your toy, shaft, or body part of choice, and it easily stays there. My wife and I used it for vaginal sex, and after sex I asked her how it felt. She said it felt the same as the Sliquid H2O, but it lasted a lot longer. Two pluses in my book. After use, clean up is easy with our normal method of using baby wipes.

I tested this to see how long it would last when rubbed between my fingers. Placing a small line of gel on my index finger, I rubber my fingers together for 48 seconds. At that point it pretty much completely disappeared. But it didn't leave any mess behind, and I didn't feel sticky. When I was rubbing my fingers together, after about 10 seconds I could see the gel change to a white color, but this didn't last long. Also, when squeezing it out of the bottle, if when you release the pressure on the bottle you haven't grabbed onto the gel so to say, it will get sucked back into the bottle. I noticed this just now during testing, but not during use with my wife.

There is no taste to this gel. I had a decent sized glob on my hand, and licked it, and I didn't get any taste or kick from it at all. I also opened up the bottle and stuck my nose to the opening, and I couldn't smell anything either. We haven't used it for oral for either of us, but that is just not something that we do.

This comes out of the 4.2 oz bottle easily, and it isn't too runny. I was able to place two drops on a glass toy, close the bottle, and spread it around before it was able to drop onto the floor. This was more than enough for the glass toy. Then after my wife orgasmed, we added a little bit to my penis, and this amount of lube lasted through the rest of our session. It feels just as slick as our Sliquid H2O, but it is no where near as runny when it comes out of the bottle. It also seems to last longer in use.

Last night my wife placed a few drops onto my chest, then rubbed the gel in. Afterwards, I didn't feel any stickiness or anything from where she applied the gel. It just completely disappeared.

The gel came from Eden wrapped in a plastic bag, and the bag was knotted at the top. The packaging for this gel is different from the other bottles of Sliquid lube that I have used in the past, but its dimensions are the same for the 4.2 oz bottle. Since this is from their organic line, this bottle is a dark brown color, with a black top, and multiple shades of pink for the label. The bottle does not scream sex. The only indications on the very front are a female symbol tilted, and "natural lubricating gel" at the bottom.

I have had this same designed bottle leak in the past with their silicone lube, so if we were traveling with it, we would wrap the lube in a zip-lock bag for safety. But when just tipping the bottle over on the desk, it does not leak. After a few weeks of use, some dried up gel is staying in the push top of the bottle. It isn't so much yet that it stops the gel from coming out, but a q-tip might be necessary soon to keep the gel flowing.

The ingredients of this gel are purified water, plant cellulose (from cotton), aloe barbadensis, natural tocopherols (vitamin e), cyamopsis (guar conditioners), extracts of hibiscus, flax, green tea & sunflower seed, potassium sorbate, and citric acid.

I even tried to use this with a Fleshlight the other day. I didn't think it would work well with it being a gel, and maybe not being able to get down into the texture. But after applying two globs to the STU, and two to my penis, I was able to slip right on in. Right now I have three lube bottles, but I think I have found the one that works the best for all of our uses. Now I just wish I would have gotten the larger bottle because it was a better value.
