There have been several lubes that I have tried over my years and by far astroglide is my default lube. I still try new lubes all the time but when things aren't working out I always have astroglide on hand for when it's needed. The lubricant is great for many different situations; masturbation, toys, anal, and even for vaginal dryness.
While I personally don't have vaginal dryness I am very sensitive with what I can use. Many lubes that I have used have given me a yeast infection or worse and there have been no issues with astroglide. It seems to work very well with my ph balance.
This lubricant can be used with most all toys which is great for when you don't want the hassle of making sure your toys don't get ruined. It also works great for anal. It has a thicker formula so that the lubricant stays on after a lot of friction. I do suggest to make sure you keep reapplying during anal though, that's just a precaution.
Now some of the downfalls but I feel that the good out weights the bad. Astroglide is not a flavored lube so it does taste rather icky. Don't use it for oral because it will taste horrible and coat your mouth with a film like feel that takes a while to clean out. The other thing is that astroglide can get sticky or tacky. But I find if it starts to get sticky that's when more lube needs to be reapplied and I add some and the stickiness goes away.
When you are done with your play astroglide is easily washed off. You can just use water to remove it but I do suggest using soap and water just to make sure all of it's washed off.
Overall astroglide is my favorite lube especially for the cost. I highly recommend it to everyone.

By far this is still my favorite lube. I find it the best lube for the price. Still haven't found anything to complain about.

I always used to use different KY ones and the occasional one from different surprise-party type companies, but there was always something about them that I hated. Finally I was introduced to astroglide and haven't used anything else since :D

Astroglide is ok, but I find it doesn't work that well for anal sex. I use Maximus for that, as I am naturally a wet person, and don't really need lube for anything else.

Most likely because reviewers starting out have to review cheaper items first. I'd guess that lubes and massage balms/oils would be many reviewers' first picks since they'd want to buy the stuff anyway. :P
