Great for a Starter Kit

This lube set is perfect for beginners who may not know what they like best. Complete with warming, tingling, water based, silicone, and sensitive, this kit will give anyone a basic idea of what type they like. Don't expect the highest quality if you are an advanced user, but if you are just starting out it's a good starter kit. They did their job and now I know my lube preferences.

Use

These lubes are all good for use during vaginal sex or foreplay. I didn't try to use any of them anally and probably wouldn't because I am new to anal play and would be looking for something more long lasting and less sticky. They could theoretically be used for massage if you feel like taking a shower after you're done, because they all left us both feeling sticky where the lube had been applied.

The silicone is good for use in the shower because it will not wash off, but be sure not to use it with silicone toys so as not to damage the material of your toys. The only use the silicone has for me personally is in the shower because it was one of the more sticky of all the lubes and did not slide around as easily as the others.

The tingling worked better solo because with a partner I was paying attention to too many other things to really notice the effects. They are there, but they took a few minutes to kick in and only lasted a few seconds.

The warming is best used with a partner, but in my opinion would be suitable for either solo or partner play. It warms when friction is applied, so I applied it to my partner and rubbed it in really well so he could feel the effects.

The sensitive is really more of a general lube with general uses, but based on the ingredients I wouldn't categorize it as especially sensitive. It is water based so it is safe to use with toys.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Each lube is slightly different.

The warming really does slightly warm, and it's a pleasant sensation. The only ingredient listed on the bottle is Glycerin, though, so I wouldn't use it if you are prone to yeast infections. It stays in place well and the taste isn't too bad. The consistency I would compare to vegetable oil, maybe slightly thinner. This one doesn't get super sticky unless a lot was applied. It doesn't smell like anything.

I didn't feel any tingling at all with my partner using the tingling one, which disappointed me. However when I used it alone I noticed its subtle cooling/tingling effects. The first ingredient is water, and the rest are chemicals:
(propandiol, PEG-8, Polyquaternium-7, Menthyl Lactate, PPG-26, Buteth-26, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Diazolidinyl Urea, Sodium Benzoate, and Potassium Sorbate).
It smells like chemicals but doesn't really taste like anything. This one's a tad more runny because it is water based, but smoother as well. It pours quickly and has a consistency like lip gloss.

The silicone I didn't like very much at all, but it is useful for shower sex since water based lubes will wash off in the shower. It was much too thick and sticky for my liking; it almost feels greasy. The only ingredient listed on the bottle is Dimethicone. It doesn't smell or taste like anything at all.

I'd say the water based one is my favorite of the set and it's the one I usually reach for. It has the smoothest application, but like the others will be sticky by the end. The first ingredient is of course, water, and the rest are:
Propanediol, PEG-8, Polyquaternium-7, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Diazolidinyl, Urea, Sodium Benzoate, and Potassium Sorbate
It needs to be reapplied every couple minutes like the others. It has no smell and only a slight taste.

The sensitive one didn't really do it for me. If you are really sensitive, I would look into these ingredients because they don't necessarily seem sensitivity friendly:
Water, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium-7, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Panthenol, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Aloe Barnadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Sucralose, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparabe, and Propylparaben
    • Greasy
    • Sticky
    • Thick

Taste / Aroma

All of the scents are either nothing, or a slight chemically-type smell if you are sniffing really hard.

The taste is hard to describe - it is mostly a bitter taste, not unbearable but certainly not tasty. It left an aftertaste in my mouth and I had to brush my teeth thoroughly after. The water, tingling, silicone, and sensitive all taste about the same to me.

The warming is the worst as far as taste goes. The only way I can think to describe it is like cocoa cola, but without the flavoring and water, just the preservatives. It is really bitter and I wouldn't recommend using this one for oral if you are like me and have a strong gag reflex.
    • Bad taste
    • Light smell

Performance

The product only needed to be applied once for vaginal sex unless we took a big break. In order to keep him lubed up apart from vaginal sex I felt like I had to reapply fairly often, every 5 minutes maybe even more.

After we were done we both felt sticky and gross and took a shower. A wipe would suffice if you are running short on time, but there is definitely sticky residue.

We spilled a little on my sheets, I don't remember which one, and it did stain even though the label says non staining.
    • Dries up too fast
    • Gets sticky
    • Reapply often

Packaging

The packaging is a clear plastic little box, much like any sort of lotion or perfume might be shipped in. I do store them in the box, but after they are gone I will definitely throw it away. If traveling with them I would put them in Ziploc bags so you don't get lube all over your things. The lids are snap top but could possibly pop open during travel, and the box isn't fully sealed.

The box is see through and you can see the five bottles inside that say "mood lube" so if you are trying to be discreet I would put them in a drawer or box.

It would be a good gift for someone that you know is a beginner and is making their first foray into the world of lubes.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Would make a nice gift

Special Features

The tingling doesn't do anything very noticeable, but the warming does provide a slight warming effect upon friction.

Personal comments

I am glad I got this product. I was able to try out lubes I probably wouldn't have tried if they didn't come in the set. For the price, I'd consider them a good buy especially for a beginner who is just learning about the different types of lubes.

At the same time, I would never buy bigger versions of any of the lubes in this kit after trying them out. I will look for different brands with higher quality of the type I discovered that I like.

Experience

This was actually my boyfriend and I's first experience with lube.

He was AMAZED and I was able to get him off by purely a handjob which we haven't done since we were youngins. He loved it but he did complain about the stickiness afterwards. I look forward to finding a lube with the same benefits and less of the drawbacks. I did perform oral on him after this was applied. I could stand the taste, it was very minor, but it was there.

Overall I'm glad I purchased this kit instead of buying bigger, more expensive versions of each different type because now I know what I like and what to invest in. I gave the product 4 stars because, while I feel it is a great starter kit for the price and perfect for a beginner, an advanced user may be disappointed with the downfalls of this lube, such as the stickiness.

Great review! The sticky residue alone would be a deal breaker for me. That's too bad these weren't better.
