Great Middle of the Road Lube
Astroglide is a great lube at a great price, that will leave most people happy. there are better choices on the market but with its ease of availability it can not be beat.Published: August 25, 2008

Astroglide is one of the top selling water based lubricants on the market. It is easily available online and any most shops. Because of this anyone having sex knows the name and trusts it.
I always keep a bottle of this Astroglide in my drawer. It is not my favorite lubricant, but it gets the job done and if you are not in monogamous relationship, it is a lube that most new encounters will feel comfortable with you using on them without any questions.
This lubricant is clear and not super heavy. It is easy to apply and moves around on any toy or body part without any effort. It feels good to the touch and provides a great base for play. It also is not overly lubricating so you still get a nice friction while playing with your partner. It also doesn’t provide any sensations, warming or has any weird flavors. Some prefer these features in a lube, however I am not one of those people. I prefer for a lubricant to do its job and not alter a natural experience. While it is tasteless, ther is still some taste to it like any lube but nothing that would prevent you form doing your duty!
Be aware that if you over use this product it does gum up a bit during play. So when it comes to the first time of using a lube I always suggest using a little bit at a time, you can always get more. Another feature that I did not like is the bottle. I prefer a bottle with a pump so you can use it with one hand. It can be cumbersome to stop what you are doing to use two hands to get more lube, especially if both hand are already a little lubed up, it can make holding the bottle difficult and you can’t leave the top open or the lubricant will drip out.
Fro the price, which is great, Astroglide is a great choice and a staple for your toy box.

I always used to use different KY ones and the occasional one from different surprise-party type companies, but there was always something about them that I hated. Finally I was introduced to astroglide and haven't used anything else since :D

Astroglide is ok, but I find it doesn't work that well for anal sex. I use Maximus for that, as I am naturally a wet person, and don't really need lube for anything else.

Can you believe there are 98 reviews on Astroglide? I was just browsing through lubes and thought I might find a good one to review, and I saw that it had 98!!! No kidding, check the page! What do you think of this, folks? Are you as surprised as me?

Most likely because reviewers starting out have to review cheaper items first. I'd guess that lubes and massage balms/oils would be many reviewers' first picks since they'd want to buy the stuff anyway. :P

I agree, astroglide is a pretty good value. It isn't my favorite either but, I have used it simply because it is so readily available! If I'm out of lube, I can't just wait for my shipment to come in all the time! =P
I found that my bottle leaks every time it gets tipped onto it's side. I keep mine around simply for lubing bullets for silicone dildos. It would be a shame to me to waste Maximus on a bullet.
I agree that there are better lubes out there. Just wish some of them were as available as Astroglide. Some one must have done a great marketing campaign when Astroglide first came out because that stuff is everywhere! I like your solution, Bulma, use the mediocre stuff for things that need lube and won't see much action and save the good lube for the real activities.
Pumps are really nice.
This is why I order giant (17 oz.) bottles of Probe when I start to run out...
Astroglide is mediocre at best. I feel it belongs more in a medicinal cabinet or back on the shelves at wal-mart then in my toy box.
