Use

Gun oil is perfect for jacking off a cock, anal sex and vaginal sex. Since it is silicone based it is not usable with silicone toys, but it can be used with other materials including latex, glass, plastic and steel among others.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Gun oil is the consistency of cooking oil, but with a smoother "rounder" feel due to the silicone molecules being bigger than your skin's pores. Gun Oil will not be absorbed by the skin.

It does pour quickly if you remove the pump top that is a new feature to the bottle. I do not recommend pouring Gun Oil straight out of the bottle.

It has the feel of oil based lubes without the cons of ACTUAL oil-based lubes such as yeast and/or bacterial infections and latex deterioration.

Taste / Aroma

Gun Oil has NO SMELL and NO TASTE. None.

This may be my favorite thing about it. I can't use flavored lubes as they are yeast inducing, and plain water-based lubes often taste like skunk butt. Gun oil tastes like nothing at all and feels good in my mouth.

Performance

Gun Oil lasts longer than water-based lubes but not as long as I had hoped. Using it an my male partner I found that jacking him off was easier and my hand slid without friction, but that I did need to reapply every few minutes. This was mostly due to the lube sliding down to his balls and all over my hand. He said that it felt really good and was smoother feeling than the Astroglide we compared it with.

Titty fucking proved to us that silicone is better than water based in many cases as my tits were slicker than a pimp in velvet pants. So slick that the next day my cleavage was still prepped for take-off.

It does stay on the body unless washed well and even after a shower we both still felt slick and "Pre-lubed" for the next round! The next day

Packaging

The picture of Gun Oil is NOT accurate. I received my 8.5 ounce bottle with a pump top much like this: link. The pump seemed like a great idea until I went to get more from the bottle.

Holding the large bottle in my unable-to-be-closed and slippery, lubed hand while pressing on the pump with my pointer finger shot the bottle right through my hand and onto my partners waiting cock below. There was no agile, sexy way to get more lube from the bottle. After repeated annoyances with the bottle - we put some in a smaller, empty Emerita Lube bottle with a small pour top.

Later I placed a band of slightly wrinkled duct tape around the bottle to add grip which actually worked fairly well. The bottle is annoying, but not a reason to pass up this lube. Use a different bottle or try the handy duct tape fix.

The dome shaped cap is also hard to remove if your hands are already slick. It does not pop off easily and this is great for when you are traveling with the bottle.

Personal comments

We really have enjoyed Gun Oil and even though it is NOT silicone toy friendly, it is a new favorite. It does mix with water-based lubes, so it can be used AFTER you had fun with your toys and you want to get down with some butt sex - like we did. This is, after-all, the reason I got Gun Oil!
Follow-up commentary
I have been using Gun Oil for a little over a month now, and I still LOVE it. While I regret that no silicone lubes can be used with silicone toys, I have adjusted. I start off with water based lubes and toys and switch to the Gun Oil when moving on to anal play.

It also works great when a drop is placed inside the tip of a condom. It keeps my male partner slippery inside the condom.

We still love how it has no taste! The duct tape trick mentioned in the review continues to give good grip and made up for the bottle's slick design.

Good review! So many of my toys are silicone, though, so we don't even have silicone lube in the house. I'm afraid My Man might grab it by accident and destroy an expensive vibe or dil.

But, I'm glad you like it so much. Maybe they can put some grips on the bottle.

Did you know that Gun Oil name and base came from guys in the Service that actually used real "Gun Oil" to jerk off? Weird.

      If you mean is it safe to use on them, yes. Even though it says "oil" it's a silicone-based lube, which is what's on a lot of lubricated condoms anyway.
