Do you like quick drying, sticky lubes that leave you feeling Like you have just made love to a sand pit, yet somehow feeling you need a deep cleaning just to remove the gooey mess that's been left behind? Do you find deep pleasure when at the end of a love making session, your chaffed, sore, and blistered in all your tender places? Are you thrilled by the feeling you get when you applied the entire bottle of a chemically drenched lubricant, and it still it wasn’t enough to get the job done? Does it ever feel that when making Sweet love, you started out in a lush tropic jungle of ecstasy, only to find you wound up stranded in the middle of the sahara without an oasis in sight. Your partner crying out “moisture, oh god, just give me anything with moisture”? If you answered yes to any of these question, then Maximus is NOT for you. Steer clear of it. leave more for the rest of us.
I know this product has been reviewed over and over but once converted I felt compelled, No, FORCED by the gods of lubrication, to write a review.
I will try and make this review like a good speech, or a good quickie. Short, sweet, and to the point. Maximus is simply the BEST water based lube, or any base for that mater, I have ever used.
I can think of nothing this product is not compatible with, it's Glycerin free, and L-Arginine free. It does contain Paraben so this could be a potential issue for some, possibly the the only place it could be improved. I would also like to see a flavored line come out, but that's just really asking for the moon.
I love the texture, thick and jelled. For a water based lube It lasts and lasts, finally disappearing into the skin. Maximus is clear, clean, and leaves behind no stains. This lube has no smell at all(it really lasts a long time). Maximus has a slight taste that is a little bitter. This is not a flavored lube and not meant for ingestion. Did I mention that it lasts a long time? Really I can think of nothing more to say. I started on the quest for the perfect Lube and it ends here. I can't say i’m not going to try new things but this is a hefty yard stick to measure up to.

I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?

I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.

Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

Is Maximus as Great as The Reviews Say?

Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.
Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.
I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me. -
This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

It is slightly bitter but not bothersome. It is thicker and also works very well for anal. I never feel the need to wash it off unless I overdue in the heat of passion.

Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.

It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5
I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad -
