Flavored lubricant - lubricant discontinued by Intimate Organics - review by Dixiemomma

This is an organic, water based, flavored lubricant put out by Intimate Organics. I received the Toasted Macadamia Nut one and it is definitely a very strong nutty smell. This is used to lubricate your toys or partner during intercourse, or for masturbatory purposes. It is all natural and organic making it a safer alternative for most men and woman to use, and is safe to ingest so no holding back from oral just because of some lube.

It also comes in chocolate/mint, caramel/vanilla, pralines 'n cream, citrus burst and strawberry flavors all of which sound interesting to say the least. I can’t say I really liked the flavor I got, the smell was very very strong with it, like my whole room smelled after having used a small amount, I'm thinking I would have preferred something like chocolate or pralines for my room scent.

This is a very thick, clear lube that does spread fairly easily, though it doesn't get as slippery as I would have liked. It does fine for initial insertion but doesn't stay slick, it kind of absorbs quickly, thankfully it doesn't turn sticky or greasy either, it seems to absorb cleanly. It also wipes off easily with a warm damp rag so clean up is a breeze.

The product page lists this as a water based lube that is glycerin and L-Arginine free; however, the top ingredient listed on the bottle is glycerin. It is a vegetable glycerin so it is still organic and gentler, but if you're very sensitive to glycerin products then you'll probably want to avoid this as it can be irritating as well.

The smell hits you hard, right away, and even using just a small amount of it will have your whole room smelling of burnt nuts. If it was a nicer smell that wouldn't be a problem at all, like the chocolate mint would probably be a nice smell, but this one is very overwhelming. The taste was mild though, thankfully, and not terribly unpleasant but it doesn't make you want to taste it again either. If you’re using it to stroke your man and have the urge to take a taste of him it’s at least not too offensive.

The first thing I noticed about this lube was the very strong burnt nut smell, it wasn't entirely unpleasant, if it hadn't been so strong it might have been pleasant. But as it was, even using just a small dab during play had the whole room smelling strongly of nuts, even for a long time after it lingered. It really doesn't have much of a taste, it kind of has a prickly taste though but nothing unpleasant, it would certainly be preferable to a non flavored lube for those times you get urge to taste your partner and forget that you already used some.

When I put a couple of drops of lube onto the head of a rather large toy I had the drops stayed put and didn't try to run down the shaft. I used my finger to spread it around the head and it spread easily, a little going a long ways but it didn't get that nice slick, lubed up feeling, it was still rather thick almost like it was drying up already. It lubed up the toy well enough for insertion but wasn't as much as I would have hoped. I've definitely used better. Also, this does have a vegetable based glycerin listed as the top ingredient which can cause some irritation to those that are sensitive to it, so be aware of that prior to use and if irritation does occur please stop using it and wash it off thoroughly.
