I don't use lube very often. I have a bottle of Liquid silk, and I use it on those days when the plumbing needs a little assistance with the toys. But I find that using lubricated condoms usually eliminates the need for any lube with a partner. I have my lube stash. It does what a lube is supposed to do. But I ended up rarely ever touching it or any other lubricant.

But now I have a reason to.

I made a trip to Good Vibrations with a friend of mine and she went through and sampled just about every tube of lube in the store, sometimes asking my opinion on them. I wasn't a fan of most of them. They all seemed to do the job but they all seemed to do the job similarly to the lube I already had. They didn't really seem special at all. Until we came across Hathor Aphrodisia Lubricant Pure. I rubbed it between my fingers and continued to browse. And then I was still rubbing it between my fingers. And then I was still rubbbing it between my fingers. A part of me was really amazed at how the consistency had hardly changed over the length of time that I was playing with it. I had to wipe it off with a tissue, it was sticking around so long. And then I kept rubbing my hands together on my way back to the bus stop. They felt so soft and silky. She ended up buying it.

And I was really horny the resulting week.

So I went back this week and picked up a bottle for myself. I would say it's of a medium to thick consistency, thicker than the Liquid Silk (and much less runny), but not quite as thick as Maximus, although similar in texture. It's slick without being watery and I'm quite amazed to find that it's a water-based lube, because if I had to guess from the consistency I would guess it were silicone.

I used it with my new Dream Massager G when I got home, and I loved it. The tube boasts about an aphrodisiac warming effect. Other reviewers said that if the effect exists at all then it happens to be very slight, and while I would agree that it is not overpowering, I did notice a warming effect against my skin. I tend to run very cold blooded and the effect was short lived, but it started my session off on the right foot. I found that while I didn't need a lot, I was being generous with it anyways because of how much I liked the sensation.

In he aftermath of the play session, clean up was really easy on both me and my toy. Other reviewers have said that it was a little sticky and while that's true, it's very slight and can easily be wiped away. I would bother worrying about a damp washcloth or adding water to the mix.

On to the smell and taste of the toy, this is not advertised as a flavored lube but I tasted it anyway and can report that I found it to be rather tasteless. It doesn't taste like candy, but in my personal opinion it would be preferable to the flavored version of this same lubricant, which apart from being unpleasantly flavored, is also much stickier. It's also pretty odor-free. In short, if it ended up in your mouth, I highly doubt that it would interrupt your play session. And since there's a flavored version with the exact same ingredients plus additional ingredients, I would guess that if you wanted to use this for oral, it might be suitable, in spite of not being flavored.
