ID Glide review
No offensive smell or taste and is toy and condom friendly... it comes in a bottle with a flip lid, which is a definite plus point, as it can be done up quickly and then discarded in the heat of the moment without worrying about the potential messy aftermath.Published: August 1, 2007
My first impressions of ID Glide Lubricant were good - the packaging was plain, but functional. It also came in a bottle with a flip lid, which is a definite plus point, as it can be done up quickly and then discarded in the heat of the moment without worrying about the potential messy aftermath. There's nothing worse than leaky lubricant!
The ID Glide Lubricant seemed to apply OK, although not quite as silky smooth as some I've used in the past. It seemed thicker too, which didn't feel particularly pleasant on the skin. However, it still did the job and is perfectly adequate for use when masturbating alone, using a toy, or for use with a partner. I didn't feel as though it lasted as long as some lubricants, which meant I had to reapply it a couple of times whereas most lubricants would have needed just the one application. Frequent applications meant it also went lumpy after time, which also doesn't feel very nice down below! It was also quite sticky, probably due to the fact it's thicker than your average lubricant.
However, ID Glide had no offensive smell or taste and is a water-based lubricant, so it's toy and condom friendly. So although the performance wasn't fantastic, the design of the bottle gains it extra points.
Overall, I'm not inclined to recommend this for regular use given the fact it doesn't last very long and would potentially be very irritating for a couple to have to keep reapplying it. It may well be OK for quickies though due to the functionality of the bottle. The ID Glide lube is good value for money and comes in a variety of sizes, so if you don't think you'll be using a great deal of it, then by all means, give it a try. But there are definitely better lubricants on the market.

I received a sample and want to make sure it's the real thing before writing a review.

I got this sample with a wholesale order:

Is this the one EF is selling in larger bottles, so can I review it? -
It looks the same to me. If you're going to review it, do note that you have a smaller sample size tho.

It got pretty good ratings but it's like the worst thing I ever tried maybe 2/5. So not sure if it's just my personal preference or just plain different. Ingredients looks like the same tho. I read your durex warming review! I like that lube and use it to the day. This is far worse than that in terms of smell and performance. I got a premium silicone lube recently and I can finally understand why people gave 2/5 to the durex warming :) But I like it anyway, it's different. But made me realize what tacky really means and now I got a better picture.

Why is this product not sold in the same types of containers?
-
I am wondering why the different weights are sold in different containers. The 17.5 oz. container looks the best, but costs more. The 4 oz bottle looks weird, and I don't like it. They should be sold in same-looking containers. Any comments? Agreements?

I think it'd be much better if they made them all the same as you suggested. I guess they figure they're just giving people a choice in the way the lube is disposed?

Personally it doesn't bother me what the bottle looks like. Some I am sure are easier to conceal in a pocket or purse for the purpose of travel. Others do to their size like the one I baught being 35 oz. looks like a shampoo bottle and you could probably have out in the open as long as someone didn't take to close a look at it. I am sure they had their reasons for making the bottles the way they did.

Thank you for viewing ID glide – water based lube review page!

Hrm, I've never had problems with needing to reapply this lube. You're right, though--it is quite thick, and I think it's better suited to toy play than intercourse.
great review
thanks
