ID Glide Makes Things Slip And Slide!

ID Glide is a great water based lube that is compatible with all materials. It stays slick for a pretty long time, and doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feeling. Those with paraben allergies or allergies to wheat should steer clear as this contains chemicals that can cause allergic reactions. Otherwise, give ID Glide a try.. you might just enjoy the Glide.

Use

I think ID Glide is an absolutely wonderful water based lubricant. It is great for lubing any toy up to work it into any greedy hole. I think men and women alike can have some great fun with ID Glide. Those that have a problem with parabens, glycerin, or a wheat allergy should steer clear of this particular lube though as it has ingredients that can cause reactions for some.

Great for penetration, this lovely slick motion potion keeps things moist and moving. I got ID Glide mainly to use for jacking off, but it is also wonderful for anal play (though some will still definitely want to find something thicker, as this is fairly thin).

It doesn't dry up super fast and it definitely keeps things slippery for as long as you need them to stay slick. Because it does stay slick for a pretty lengthy amount of time, I even ventured to use it for solo nipple play and it worked wonderfully there too.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

ID Glide, is to me, situated in the area between thick lubes like Maximus and really thin runny lubes, like when I used baby oil as a younger man. It is wonderfully slick and stays in place fairly well for a lube that is actually closer to the thin end of things in my experience.

Here is a shot of a single "pump" of the lube on the back of my hand:

On My Hand

It had already started to run some, so I of course did a nice little run/drip test:

Drip/Run Test

With my hand turned completely vertical, it took about 2 seconds for it to get from the center of my hand to the "edge", and then another 2 or 3 seconds for that drip to happen.

This stuff really is comparable to natural womanly fluid, but still a teeny bit different. I have the 17oz bottle, so there isn't really much pouring occuring here: The big bottle is pump top. This is a WONDERFUL feature.

After I did the drip test, I proceeded to try to rub it in. After about 3 minutes of rubbing it became frothy around where I was rubbing (in much the same way cum or natural female lube would), but it never did get sticky or tacky. It doesn't feel greasy at all, which is a great thing to me. I abhor lubes that feel like a crappy middle ground between Vaseline and KY.

Taste / Aroma

I didn't catch much of a smell at all. At first I thought I did but after waiting a minute to sniff it again, there really just wasn't a smell here for me. (Note: I am a smoker, and as of the moment of smell checking this my sinuses are pretty bad so your experience may be different.)

The taste is very comparable to every other water based lube I've ever thought to just put a drop of in my mouth. I know at least a part of this sweet taste comes from the propylene glycol content (which is a chemical cousin of Ethylene Glycol, the ingredient that makes antifreeze so attractive and deadly to ingest), but the taste is hard to place. It tasted very similar to something, but I couldn't come up with name of it.

Performance

As I mentioned in the thickness/viscosity section, I did a decent rub test with this for my review, as well as using it to masturbate and for anal insertion.

Just rubbing it on my hand after 2 or 3 minutes it was still pretty damn slick, and I'm fairly certain that any natural moisture at all would keep this stuff slick for a long while. It does absorb into the skin some, but not much. My hand is still noticeably softer as I right this review nearly an hour later.

Whilst jacking off, I found it to last perfectly well with just a single pump or two. I went for nearly 30 minutes (doing some edging play) and never had to reapply. I felt it probably would have lasted for another 15 minutes or so.

For anal use, I haven't been doing a whole lot of thrusting lately. It has been insert, and leave it in place.
ID Glide worked pretty well for this purpose, though I am used to the thicker feel of Maximus. I would imagine with proper warm up it would also be great for actual penetration/thrusting.

When it came time for clean up, I found that just a quick wipe with whatever I grabbed (may have been a shirt, may have been a sock.. who knows!) worked fine, and my skin didn't feel odd where the lube had been at all.

Packaging

Minimal packaging here, and that is a good thing. There is no need to put a bottle of lube inside a plastic wrapped cardboard box. The 17oz bottle of ID Glide comes with just a tamper proof seal holding the cap on over the pump. No frilly extras or anything else.

My 17oz bottle is most definitely not discreet or suitable for travel. The TSA would probably confiscate this and then use it ON you to do a cavity search. Just play it safe and get a smaller bottle (or even a travel bottle and fill it up OUT of the 17oz bottle!)

Once the bottle itself is empty, it should be entirely recyclable.

And just for giggles and to let people know what they are in for if they go for the 17oz bottle, here is a picture:

This really is a HUGE bottle of lube. (Apparently huge is becoming my thing?)

ID Glide is also available in 1oz, 2 oz, 4oz, 4.4oz, 5.5oz, 8.5oz, 9.5oz, and 35.5oz bottles here through Eden, though other retailers have gallon sized bottles of it.

The label can be pulled off of the bottle (which makes it look like a fancy water bottle) but it does leave sticky residue behind.

Follow-up commentary
I've been using at least a bit of this daily, and it seems like I still haven't made a dent in it. I absolutely love this stuff, and have even gotten used to using it for anal play so that my good stuff lasts longer!
