ID velvet Lubricant

I sometimes feel like I’m the last person on earth to prefer water-based lubricants to silicone-based lubes. I mostly consider silicone lubricants useful for water-play, since they stay slippery in water and don’t wash away. That said, however, ID Velvet is definitely one of the highest quality silicone lubes I have tried, and I would not hesitate to use it again.
On the downside, ID Velvet is quite expensive, even by silicone lube standards. I did find, however, that I did not need to use much of it at all, even on a fair-sized jelly toy. Just a drop or two should easily be enough for intercourse or use with glass, stainless steel or hard plastic toys. ID Velvet has a very thin and watery consistency, though, so be careful when dispensing and applying it, as it may stain fabrics. It would also be very easy to over-apply because of its thin consistency, so I recommend applying a little at a time until you achieve the desired amount of lubrication. ID Velvet is truly colorless, odorless, and flavorless, though it can leave an unpleasant feeling in the mouth if used before oral sex. It is one of the few lubes that left me feeling truly CLEAN throughout use—no stickiness or tackiness, no dripping or running; I honestly can say I could not even tell it was there during or after use. Personal cleanup was a snap, since most of the external lube seemed to be absorbed by my skin—a few swipes with a baby wipe and a dry towel left no traces of the lube on my skin. Cleanup on my toy was significantly more difficult, and required several scrubbings with water and anti-bacterial soap. I consider this a good quality, though, because it demonstrates ID Velvet’s ability to stand up well to use in water. Even after the first washing, the lube was still largely in place and still very slippery. ID Velvet has an incredibly slick texture, and despite its thin consistency it reduces a good deal of friction—more than many silicone lubes I have tried. The first small application remained slippery throughout my entire use and showed no signs of giving out even after I finally did. I still prefer water-based lubes for use with toys, since they tend to reduce more friction than silicone lubes, but I was overall quite pleased with the performance of ID Velvet. This is one silicone lube I consider worth the money, and that I would definitely recommend and use again. This content is the opinion of the submitting contributor
