Juicy Lube Like Juicy Fruit

Juicy Lube is going to work the best for those who are a bit nervous about foraying into oral sex of any kind. But it doesn't stop there, it's also a water based lube that actually lasts a decent amount of time. Bad for those who are sensitive to glycerin, parabens, or aspartame.

Use

Water based lubes can be used for lots of fun and exciting things. You can make solo sex more slippery, partner sex more slippery, use it for a massage, and some even make great moisturizers. Water based lubes can be used with just about any toy you can think of, and they're also condom safe. The only situations water based lubes really fail is when near water. So avoid shower or bathtub use with these.

Flavored lubes add an extra kick into the mix. With a flavored lube as a massage oil you can get a short and flavored massage that can enhance foreplay. If you're not that fond of a woman's natural flavors flavored lubes can cover that up, and if you don't really enjoy the taste of a penis, flavored lubes are a great way to turn that hand job into a blow job. Want to try rim jobbing but are worried about the flavor? Grab a flavored lube!

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Both the flavors of Juicy Lube that I own come out of their containers pretty fast. Like I might as well have been pouring water out of the container. I find that it's easier to control the flow from the .42 ounce sample tube than from the pump top style that I have on my 1.9 ounce container. I wouldn't want to try and pour this from anything with a wide opening. Because it is so runny, it doesn't stay in place very well unless you happen to pour it into something that has a natural valley to it, such as the small of the back, or a cupped hand. Don't try to just pour it on your fingers, it drips right down.

It feels very smooth and silky. Not greasy at all right out of the bottle. Once absorbed into your skin and dried, it doesn't leave any real residues of any kind. It's almost like it was never there.

Taste / Aroma

I have two flavors of Juicy Lube, the fresh peach, and the strawberry kiwi.

The scent of the fresh peach reminds me very much of fresh peaches, which surprised me, because I don't think I've actually smelled anything peach flavored that actually smelled like peaches. It doesn't taste exactly like fresh peaches, but there's definitely a peach-y flavor to it.

The strawberry kiwi smells like candy. There's no way around that one. It reminds me a lot of a Jolly Rancher, and actually tastes pretty on par too. You can't really detect any of the kiwi, or at least I couldn't. It's pretty much all strawberry.

The scent of the strawberry one is much stronger than that of the peach, and can still be smelled on the skin for a few hours use. The peach I found I had to be right next to the opening of the tube to really be able to smell, but the strawberry can be smelled just like scented body lotion.

Even though both of them do contain aspartame, which is a common sweetener usually responsible for that 'diet' taste associated with diet sodas and other things, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was no 'diet' aftertaste to either the fresh peach or the strawberry kiwi.

Performance

Juicy Lube really surprised me. My other experiences with ID water based lubes had been mediocre or so, mostly being best for just getting started during partner sex, but Juicy Lube lasted my entire half hour solo session without needing reapplication, multiple times.

When used with a condom I never felt as though we were running out of lubrication. Without a condom, once we got going I stopped to reapply once just because I was really enjoying the extra slick feeling.

We tried out the bigger strawberry bottle for a quick massage and got a good 10 minutes on my back with about a dime size squirt.

If you let it soak into and sit on the skin, it does feel a little greasy until it fully dries, which takes about 5 minutes or so. Once it dried it didn't bother me personally, but for those that it does, just rinse with some warm water and soap.

Packaging

Mine came from Walgreens and in a smaller size than Eden carries. For the most part mine are fairly discreet. The bright coloring makes them look more like something resembling candy than anything to be used for any sexual purpose.

The small tubes have the design and name on the front, and a list of ingredients on the back. The peach lists its ingredients as Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Cellulose Polymer, Polyetheylene Oxide, Carbomer 981, Polysorbate 20, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzate, Sodium Saccharin, Aspartame, Tetrahydroxypropyl, Ethylenediamine, Diazolidinyl Urea, EDTA, Flavor

The 1.9 ounce bottle has a design on the front, and as you roll around the back has ingredients, warnings and disclaimers, as well as their sales pitch. There's a cap that just pops off leaving you with a different sort of pump top. It utilizes a pumping action but doesn't have the lotion bottle top. The ingredients for the strawberry kiwi are similar to that of the peach, also containing glycerin, parabens, and aspartame.

If you're allergic to or have any sensitivities to glycerin, parabens, or aspartame, please avoid this lube and seek something else.

Experience

I was really really happy with the Juicy Lube from ID. It's a flavored lube that actually lasts, tastes fantastic, and a little bit goes a long way.

My fiance and I both really enjoyed the flavors as well as the fact that I didn't have to reapply every few minutes for hand jobs. Blow jobs were much more pleasant since they were now yummy, and the flavor lasted for a good solid few minutes, which is longer than I expected it to.

I would highly recommend Juicy Lube to anybody who's a bit squeamish about oral sex of any kind, especially for those who wish to add penetration to the mix, such as inserting a toy into a female while performing oral. But I'd also highly recommend to those looking for a lube that smells and tastes great too.
Follow-up commentary
My husband and I still enjoy this lube. We've got quiet a bit of lube, including a whole bunch of the smaller tubes of different flavors of the ID Juicy Lube and we're happy with all of them. My husband especially loves this pump top, and enjoys using it with his Fleshlight because it's so easy to dispense more lube.

Great review! I've always been reluctant to try flavored lubes, but I may have to give this one a try.

I might suggest the packs with the different flavors in it, so that way you have a bunch to try without having to get big bottles

  • Love all the flavors!
    • Can anyone who has tried a few recommend one?
    • I have tried the watermelon and one more, but cant remember of the top of my head which one it was. I did not like either one. They were way too sticky and dried up too fast for work for anything. I would go with the JO H2O flavored ones. I have not had a problem with those ones drying up or getting sticky.
    • I have been told that the cherry flavor is pretty good. I may order it once it comes back in stock.

Can anyone suggest a lubricant which will be edible without any side effect.
    • JO makes a great flavored lube. I have tried the peach and it is great. The reviews for the other flavors are all pretty good also.
    • JO is good, and ID is pretty good too. They've both got glycerin and other things that might cause yeast infections or UTI's if you're prone to them, and both seem to have a bit of a diet aftertaste to them.
