Anal lube - lubricant by Cal Exotics - review by skunked

Honestly, I purchased this lube because of the price and the name. Inexpensive, understated, and not too complicated. California Exotics' Anal Lube is great for the guy who wants value and wants a lube perfect for anal play/pleasure.

I first experienced this lube by myself, jacking off. I used to with one of my male masturbators. I had no issues with it whatsoever. It was simple to use, did not make a mess, and got the job done. What more could you want? I have only used the unscented kind of this brand, and did not notice any unpleasant smell. I find sometimes lubes' smells can be reminiscent of a hospital, ya know that smell? Well no problems like that with this. Very clean (for lube) smell. Also there wasn't a problem with any stickiness which is common with (anal) lubes. I've used the product for anal insertion with my prostate toys, and again had no issues. Everything went . . . smoothly.

When using this product with another person it was just what I expected it to be. When I topped, the lube felt great on my cock, and really let me easily slide in. The bottom expressed no pain, discomfort, etc. When bottoming, again there where no issues. It stays on for a while, not much reapplication needed either, maybe one or two. One bottle lasted me well over a six month period. I actually did not get to finish it up because I dropped the bottle on a hard surface and the plastic on the top of it cracked and broke, which is really my only downside to this product. Certainly this could happen to anything dropped but I was rather disappointed when it happened to the product. I had assumed the plastic was better made than that.

Nothing is wrong with this lube, but nothing is all too special with it either. I mean don't get me wrong, it's a great lube, but it's nothing to write home about, just write a review about. I would certainly use this lubricant again, but I do not think I will be purchasing it again. I would like to try other brands/types till I find one I really like. I think California Exotics Anal Lube would be great for beginners (gay or straight).
