Keep Yours and Have Mine Too

KY Yours and Mine was inspired by couples and giving the sensation of warmth and tingling in one package to please two partners. Don't get too inspired however, although Yours and Mine is a neatly packaged, and uniquely inspired lubricant... its price tag is a little high and the results don't match. An okay, water-based lubricant, but it just didn't rock my world.

Use

KY Yours and Mine is a water-based lubricant set inspired for couples. Each lubricant features a special sensation that is just right for you and me. Yours and Mine can be used for vaginal sex, anal sex, masturbation by hand or via sex toys. Keep in mind, when using Yours and Mine in the different orifices of your body and your lovers, that they do include active agents to add tingling and warming sensations. If you are sensitive, please be advised.

Ingredients: Yours includes Water, Glycerin,Propylene Glycol,Maltodextrin,Honey (Miel), Methylparaben, and Sucralose. Mine includes Water, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 60, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Benzoic Acid, Menthyl Lactate, Methyl Salicylate, Parfum (Fragrance),and Sodium Hydroxide.

KY Yours and Mine is a water-based lubricant and is friendly with all sex toys.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

KY Yours and Mine is closer to a gel-like lubricant rather than a slick one. It still isn't as thick as a jelly lubricant, but it comes close. Each lubricant is thin enough that it can be easily dispensed onto the skin area or your hand and then applied. The overall texture of KY Yours and Mine is not my favorite by any means. I seem to prefer a thin lubricant. They always seem to lubricate better for me. KY Yours and Mine just isn't as appealing to me as I wanted it to be. Don't get me wrong, the texture is made of good standards and gets the job of lubing things up done. I think I just expected more out of it. It's not sticky but it does seem to dry up fast and flakes if a good amount is used. These are two things that I just don't care to find in a lubricant.

Taste / Aroma

If you have ever tasted a plain KY Lubricant, well Yours and Mine is the same. It is not made as an oral lubrication and I don't recommend using it that way. It has a slight glue taste and is not appealing for oral sex. There is also a very mild, lubricant smell. I don't really know the best way to describe it. There is a light aroma but it isn't of anything from perfumes, menthol, or anything like it. It just has that 'lube' scent to it. I was expecting a little fragrance because it is listed in the ingredients, but there must only be a small trace amount. I can't smell a thing.

Performance

I wanted so badly to like this lube combination. I have been literally staring at this product for two years. I haven't made the jump to purchase it because I have always been like... eh... close to $30 for this? So I held back. I finally received KY Yours and Mine and I realized quick that I really wasn't missing anything.

The 'Yours' lubricant is for the men. I am not sure if they thought a woman would always buy this, but anyway, men the yours is for you. The 'Mine' is for the ladies. Why? I don't know, it's just the way it is. Yours has a warming agent which tends to be more desirable to the male crowd, and Mine captures a tingling agent for the women as it is more likable to females. The very first misconception that I would like to point out, mixing the two lubricants together does not make a difference, unless you just want to know what hot and cold lubricants feel like at the same time. If you are like me and you have seen the cute (and a bit hilarious) commercials on television, let me be the first to tell you that the opera does not start singing, rockets do not take off, and fireworks do not go off. The point is, while KY Yours and Mine is a perfectly good water-based lubricant, its nothing special and surely not any better than something less expensive with the same features.

Packaging

KY Yours and Mine comes packaged in a colorful blue, purple, and black box with white lettering. The package includes all the important information like ingredients, manufacturer, directions, and warnings. The only stand out warning that I could give users is that this contains Glycerin and also that it isn't the best choice with those with STD's because it contains ingredients that may cause irritation to already existing conditions. The lubricants are concealed inside the box in two separate pop-top tubes that are connected together with a black piece of plastic that can be removed for dispensing. The containers do not leak and we haven't had any trouble with spills or overflow. Each tube has the ingredients printed on them also in case you lose of throw out the box. The Mine is in the purple container and the Yours is in the blue one.

Special Features

Yours contains a warming agent and does warm on contact and becomes more noticeable with rubbing or thrusting. The warming does not last very long and does need reapplied to maintain the warmth. The Mine contains a tingling agent that causes a slight tingling sensation while being used. It is more long-lasting than the warming and doesn't need to be reapplied as much as the warming. As both lubricants as water-based, they dry quickly and become absorbed into the skin. To get the full effect of the warming/tingling sensation, reapplication is necessary.

Personal comments

This just isn't the cats pajamas for me. I have had better lubricants for a better price. If you really want a combo for a couple and seek a warming and tingling lubricant, my best advice would be to go with two separate lubricants to meet each partner's needs. The combination of KY's Yours and Mine isn't anything spectacular, it's just okay.
