Use

Up! Back It Up Water-Based Anal Gel is perfect for the beginner when it comes to anal play. It has a desensitizing effect, which would make anal easier and less painful. It's water-based, so it won't stain the sheets or your clothes. It makes entry to the anus much easier, and smoother, without the pain. Since it's a thinner lubricant, it works well with toys as well as your partners penis.

This lube also makes for an excellent massage lotion.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube is quite thin in consistency. It's a little sticky, but rubs into the skin and moisturizes. It's very smooth, and isn't greasy at all. I actually expected the gel to be thicker since it's called a gel. Just a drop goes a long way, and be careful applying, since it's thin as it runs out of bottle. Make sure to keep the cap on tight to prevent leakage.

Taste / Aroma

I didn't like the taste of this product, so I'd avoid using it for oral. I don't believe it's dangerous if you ingest it, but I would personally avoid oral with this product. I found that it actually numbed my tongue once I tasted it, but it makes sense, since it's a desensitizing gel.

There is no aroma to this product, it's just like water. However, once using the product there is a funky smell if it isn't washed off the skin after use.

Performance

Using this product for anal I found it to work quite well. I've never tried an anal lubricant before, so I was happy with the end result. As long as you wash after using it, you will be fine. I just hated the odor after, as the smell was a little funky.

Follow-up commentary
I'm still enjoying this lube, but I don't find it that numbing. Overall, it's an excellent lube that doesn't get thick or sticky.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that desensitizing agents are VERY dangerous, they numb you up so that you don't know if you are hurting yourself. Pain means stop, not keep going! Hope I helped!

      Here again it's about choice and common sense - like the earlier post about selling jelly toys. When used carefully as directed the products can be used safely by many - but not all. Let the consumer decide what's best for them.

      Eden officially takes the stance that numbing agents should not be used anally. All numbing anal lubes were removed from the site a while back.
