Hero super slick - lubricant discontinued by I-D Lubricants - review by Bethy Cassatt

~Introduction~

Oh, my hero! Well... You saved me, but you didn't do it with any exceptional flair. Like... I've been pulled out of the burning building and set on the sidewalk, but he didn't stick around. Hero Super Slick was great for the beginning of sex, but it didn't last for the longest time. It was around during a great and crucial time, but it wasn't the world to me. I do, however, enjoy this lubricant as the very first silicone lube I've ever had, and I do throughly enjoy the switch from water-based to silicone lube!

~Use~

This is a lubricant, safe for sex, genital and anal areas, and some, NOT ALL toys. The base of this lubricant is Silicone, and that is different than the water-based, so please please please take that into account before you purchase this lubricant.

The Hero Super Lubricant is a perfectly fine lubricant. It is slick, odor-less, and does the job with only a drop of lube. It isn't fancy and has no extra flair, but it is just so simple, I will end up using it again and again.

~Silicone and You (And Your Toys)~

Everyone will tell you this. They will probably say it until the day you die, but I'll say this again myself: DO NOT USE SILICONE LUBE, SUCH AS THIS LUBE, WITH YOUR SILICONE TOYS. I don't even want to talk about what would happen. It's bad. Really bad. Don't do it. Fine, I'll say it. It will smell, and you'll ruin a perfectly good toy. So don't do it.

Now, silicone does stain fabrics (like some water-based lubricants), but it will feel much slicker than the water-based lubricant. It will feel like you broke out the dish-soap, really. It's smooth and fast, so it's great for initial penetration during intercourse and for use on metal, ceramic, and glass toys. It's a safe alternative from water-based lubricants, and as the bottle reads, it is hypoallergenic. Everyone should be please. Still, use precaution. Do a skin test and find out for yourself. The active ingredients in this lube are: cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, and dimethiconol. Wikipedia is your friend, my dears. (Just looked up the first one-- it's apparently really good for hair, so, who knew?)

~Container~

Easy to get lubricant out, but not the most transportable bottle. I believe you might just be able to get it through security at 4.4 fluid ounces (small enough to hide anyways), but the cap is not the most secure. It snaps open, and it the cap ever cracked off (which could easily happen), you would have a very big mess on your hands! However, the bottle fits perfectly into a 100 calorie snack bag, just tight enough to prevent the cap from popping oven, but loose enough to wiggle the bottle around and get the bottle in the bag easily. Since silicone shouldn't get anywhere near this lubricant, store the bottle somewhere separate from the toys could be affected.

~The First Try~

I used just a little dab on my partner's member and man, it was a wonder! He was very surprised about how smooth the feel was, and it really helped me gain a pace and hold over him. I could keep going at the very beginning, when I feel frustrated at having a lack of lubrication, and we were able to move with a fluidity only had very, very late in our game! It was throughly enjoyable, and it was my hero when I most needed him.

The feeling after sex was cleaner than with other lubricants, not as sticky as I have experienced before. It was easy to clean up with a wet cloth and some soap. We were able to clean up faster than normal and get right back to cuddling.

Again, it didn't last until the very end, but it helped at a crucial time, and helped me feel much better about myself along the way. Thanks, Mr. Hero!
