Liquid Euphoria!
As long as you're not allergic to parabens, odds are you will LOVE Liquid Silk. It stays put incredibly well, and feels like it belongs... sometimes even better than the real thing! Instead of feeling like glue or vegetable oil, it is superbly slick but allows you to feel every little sensation. Using Liquid Silk will never be a chore, and one bottle should last quite a while. So, put down that drug store lube and splurge a little. Trust me, it's totally worth it.Published: August 27, 2010
Pros:
Feels natural, Stays put, Pump-top bottle, Long lasting, Isn't tacky/greasy, Glycerin-free
Cons:
Contains some silicone (Dimethicone), Contains parabens
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
Since I got Liquid Silk just under 3 months ago, it has been my go-to lube, (except for with silicone products I have tested that have a reaction) and I have gone through 3/4 of the 8.45 oz bottle. I still love it just as much as the first time I tried it, and my man and I find ourselves looking for reasons to use it. It does have to be reapplied a bit more often than I originally thought- generally at least once or twice more for extended play- but it feels so good it's definitely worth it! I will definitely buy Liquid Silk again... most likely very soon ;)

no good?

i get the impression that this is crap......

Liquid Silk's not a bad lube, but "crap" or "awesome" depends a lot on what you want out of your lube. Like, do you want one for anal play or vaginal? For shower play? Are you a stickler for healthy ingredients?

It wasn't bad, but Alan and Michele have a point. What are you trying to get out of the lube?

Liquid Silk and Silicone Toys
-
So, while looking through highly rated water based lubes, I came across Liquid Silk. Aside from the bitter taste, no one seems to have any complaints.
However, I noticed that the fourth ingredient is Dimethicone - and I was wondering what everyone's experience with this and silicone sex toys was? Is the silicone in Liquid Silk a small enough portion that it has no effect on toys, or is it generally not recommended for that type of play?
Or does the bonding potential of silicone lubes have more to do with the type/quality of silicone than anything else? -
That's a really good question because Dimethicone is a silicone.
Basically it should be ok to use as long as the toy is made of medical grade silicone. There should, in theory, be no reaction. I, personally, wouldn't want to test that out on my own toys though. You can do a patch test on a small part of the toy. The reaction should be immediate if there is going to be one.
Anyone else know about this? -
I have had liquid silk react to a silicone toy. Which sucks because I love it. :(
