Literally felt like my vagina was on fire
Texture is amazing, but the sensation I had to endure was WAY too strong for me to go back to it a second time.Published: September 20, 2011
Pros:
Silky texture, pleasent taste/smell
Cons:
intense burning sensation
When I got the opportunity to review the Wet Synergy Warming Lubricant I was thrilled. My initial reaction to the product when it arrived at my door was a pleasent one. It arrived in a plain brown box with no packaging of its own. The bottle itself was very attractive. It was black with red fading up the container. The writing was a very pretty silver foil too. I opened it and the lube smelled/tasted pleasent. The Wet Synergy also had a silky texture when I rubbed it between fingers...
Then...
My partner and I were getting intimate and we busted out the new lube. I don't usually need lubricant per se, but I enjoy the warming ones... usually. Within seconds of applying this product to my vaginal area it felt like someone lit me on fire. The sensations were so intense; it brought me to tears and sent my partner running to the kitchen to get me ice cubes.
After several minutes of rubbing it with the ice cubes (and not even feeling them) and wiping the area with a cool wet towel it seemed to calm a bit. My partner didn't have a reaction to it and the only place it was so intense was my vagina, so I am not sure if I just had a reaction to it or what, but I won't be using it again.
The product states that it is good for those that suffer from personal dryness because "This hydrating formula delivers long lasting moisture that washes away easily with warm water." It also states that it is scent/flavor free, but I noticed a slight scent and flavor.

Follow-up commentary
28 days after original review
I was brave, I tried it ONE more time, using only a VERY tiny bit (about the size of a small pea). The sensation was still very intense. I thought maybe the first time, we had just used too much, but I was wrong. I am officially retiring the Wet Synergy Warming Lube indefinitely.

I wonder why ingredient makes this product so hot?
-
Do you want an ingredient analysis? Ok.
Glycerine - lubricant (water based)
Dimethiconol/Dimethico ne - lubricant (silicone based)
Sodium Polyacrylate - thickener
Cyclopentasiloxane - lubricant (silicone based)
Trideceth-6 - surfactant/emulsifier (silicone based)
PEG/PPG-Dimethicone - lubricant/emulsifier (silicone based)
Pentylene Glycol - plasticizer/emulsifier
Trimethylpentanediol/A dipic Acid Copolymer - conditioner/lubricant
Vanillyl Butyl Ether - this is what causes the warming sensation (like "capsaicin" from peppers) -
Thanks for clarifying that because I was looking at the ingredients myself and couldnt see what was in it that was supposed to give that appeal and I worked in the supplement industry for years. I was looking for L-arginine,menthol, capsaicin but couldn't find anything at all.
