Loving This Liquid

Kama Sutra's Love Liquid is an awesome lubricant that absorbs right into the skin with no problems, it is a water-based and therefore safe to use with your silicone toys, great for solo and couple play. The fine quality and longevity, both in how much use you get out of it and lasting power, make it well worth the price.

Use

Love Liquid by Kama Sutra is an amazing lubricant that I have used for several months now and do not plan on parting with anytime soon. I have only ever used this lube and Fun Factory's Toy Fluid which are both great solo as well as during sex although my personal preference leans toward Love Liquid as the more superior of the two. A dime size of this lube goes a long way for me every time I use it, lasting quite a while and then absorbing into my skin without leaving any residue. Love Liquid has proven its usefulness while using my toys as well as with a partner and while I find that it's best use was during solo play, there are no drastic problems that would prevent me from applying this product during sex.

Love Liquid is a water based lube which means it is silicone toy friendly, condom compatible, and easy to clean up after. As an added bonus, Love Liquid does not contain any Parabens which are known to cause skin irritation. Below I have listed some other ingredients, both un-harmful and those that potentially have consequences.



Ingredients: Water, Tetrasodium EDA, Citric Acid, Hydroxy Ethylcellulose, and Sodium Benzoate

Warning Love Liquid Also Contains:

Glycerin: Which may cause yeast infections in those that are prone to them due to the sugar it contains.

Propylene Glycol: This could be potentially harmful if ingested, inhaled, or makes contact with the skin.

*In both of these cases I have not suffered any of the side effects listed above in my time using Love Liquid but if you are trying to avoid additives such as these it's best you know now before purchasing the product.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture of Kama Sutra's Love Liquid is so amazingly slick and smooth that it just glides onto the skin without any problems. This does not necessarily mean it is too slippery to work with, no it has just enough viscosity that Love Liquid glides where you want it to go and will not slip and slide of its own accord. When applied Love Liquid feels silky and mixes well with my own natural lubricant warming to my body fairly quickly and making it difficult to tell where one begins and the other ends.

Now I do have one complaint, and it's pretty much my only complaint about this product, which is the bottle itself. Love Liquid comes in a very nice 3.4 oz bottle that I suppose is a metallic lilac color and has a black lid that flips open, which is attractive but not very practical. This lube pours out so easily I could turn the bottle over rather then squeezing and it will come out the problem, besides the hassle of having to open and close the lid when apply, is the mess this causes. If you are not neat and careful when applying this lube it will make a mess out of the lid which will then need cleaning to be put into pristine condition once again or else you would have quite a mess. If Kama Sutra were to revamp the bottle and make Love Liquid with a pump instead of a lid I would rate it five stars instead of four.

Taste / Aroma

Kama's Sutra's Love Liquid does have a slight scent to it that reminds me of a sweetened perfume, which could be an affect of the sugary glycerin it contains, but the scent itself is not so overpowering that it's really noticeable when you are using Love Liquid during solo or partner play. In fact unless I am holding the lube right to my nose, I cannot smell it at all, besides that, when I can smell anything it is not a repulsive odor.

I do not believe Love Liquid was meant to be used during oral sex as it does contain some Propylene Glycol as mentioned above. But if you are looking for a water based lubricant specifically for oral use Eden does have some available such as the Hathor Aphrodisia Lubrican Lickeurs, although I have not tried this lubricant so it might be best you look up what other reviewers have to say if you are interested.

Performance

For the purpose of this review I applied about a fingers worth of Love Liquid to myself to see how long it would last without needing reapplication. From previous experience during masturbation and sex I had an idea but to be certain I timed it to last a little over an hour before absorbtion was complete.

Love Liquid does not need to be washed off as it will absorb into the skin as if it was a lotion or any other health care product you would not need to clean up after. Another thing I should mention for those of you who might be interested is that it cannot be used in the bath, like most water based lubes it washes off the skin easily and while this is not personally high on my list of requirements when choosing a lube it should still be mentioned if you are interested in using this while in the water.

Experience

I really, truly adore this product and do not personally plan on switching to another lube anytime soon. Now I know some people would say Love Liquid is too pricey especially given the size, but as far as I'm concerned it's worth the price given the quality and longevity of the product. Not only does it last quite a while before needing reapplication but, in my case at least, you only need to use about a finger full to get results making Love Liquid's 3.4oz bottle go a long way. When I use this lube with my toys I find that it goes just where I want it to without gliding off in a drippy mess or having too much drag to work well. Love Liquid warms to my body temperature relatively fast and reacts to my own arousal in such a way that it's as if they are one with one another rather than two different substances.

When I use Love Liquid during vaginal or anal play it lasts quite a while before there needs to be reapplication, if any at that. Although on the note of reapplication during sex I will once again point out that the flip lid is just wretched to work with when you have to stop, pry a sticky lid open, and then reapply. Cleanup is also a breeze as it just absorbs into the skin with no leftover residue sticking to you when you least want to deal with it, trust me when masturbating at least I am all about what's best for easy clean up and this just works best for me.
Follow-up commentary
Even though I wrote a review for Kama Sutra’s Love Liquid only a month ago, I have owned the product for over a year. Since then I have tried Liquid Silk and the above mentioned Toy Fluid, yet I always come back to Love Liquid. This is just an amazing lube and even though I know there are many more to try out I can’t help but wonder if there is any point in improving upon perfection. Don’t get me wrong---I will always have my qualms about the lid---but when it comes to smoothness, lasting value, and consistency, this is the way to go.

Fantastic review! Too bad about the bottle I'm so glad you included the ingredients although I frowned when seeing glycerin. Looks like they would try to keep that stuff out of lubes and soaps and the like. I've never had problems from it, but it's something I like to avoid just in case. Thanks so much for including such wonderful details. I always am glad to have a list of the ingredients in a review. Thanks!

Kendra30752 yeah I know the glycerin made me frown when I found out about it before purchasing too but it had such good reviews and no parabens at least so I figured what the heck. Although if you know of a great lube without parabens or glycerin let me know so I can test it out

      I like wet bare naturals and pink water and neither of those get sticky for us :)
