Lube XXX men's only - lubricant discontinued by MAKE GmbH - review by Avarice

When I picked up the Lube XXX it was only my second time experimenting with personal lubricants. I had tried Astroglide before and found that it added a pleasurable bonus to masturbation. When I ran out I thought I would try out a water/silicone based lubricant, so I bought Lube XXX.

The smell when I initially squirted the lubricant into my hand was the first thing that struck me. It lingered in the air and smelled heavily like silicone and suntan lotion, even though the description of the product claims that there is no fragrance. Don't be fooled, the pungent aroma certainly didn't arouse the senses. I began using it as a masturbation lubricant and, I must say, that at first it seems a lot better than the Astroglide. It maximized pleasure for a few minutes, but then started to fade. The lubricant almost seemed to moisturize the skin and I was forced to reapply several times. It really interrupts the mood when you have to stop and reapply the lube every few minutes.

I had more problems when I tried to use it in the shower. Since it is water and silicone based it was soluble in the water and the affects of the lube quickly diminished. Unfortunately, even after cleaning up, the odoriferous aroma of the lubricant stays on your skin. Hours after the fun is over your skin is still left smelling like lubricant. Though, on the plus side, it did not leave an oily residue.

I should note that men's only XXX lube can be used with rubber and latex toys, but is not compatible with silicone toys since the lube contains silicone additives. However, if your looking for an oral lubricant look elsewhere, this stuff will make you gag - and not in a good way. In fact, due this lubricant's odor and constant need to reapply, I would not recommend it even for personal use. There are other water and silicone based lubricants out there that will give you much more pleasure for your dollar.
