Mood lube 5 pack - lubricant discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by zj22

This is a five pack of lubricants to help set anyone's mood and enhance their sexual experiences. The five pack includes warming, tingling, water based, sensitive, and silicone varieties. Each one has its own special oomph, and this is the perfect pack in which to try them all. Whether you're using these oils alone or with a partner, you're sure to enjoy them.

I personally could not use the warming gel due to an odd allergy of my own, however, I gave it a friend and she loved it. It warmed at a steady even pace and held that warmth for the duration of her experience. It didn't get too hot or leave any redness or rash. The thickness was light, but didn't dry out on her. The tingling lube brings on a slight cooling tingle. The thickness of this lubricant was the same as that of the warming variety. The tingle lasted until it was washed off without irritating the area it was applied to. The water based lubricant had a somewhat lighter viscosity, and came off a bit a quickly. It was slightly sticky, but not greasy, and needed to be reapplied a few times. The sensitive was slightly thicker than the warming and tingling were. It was not sticky or greasy and stayed in place well. However, the downside to this one was that it numbed the area it was applied to. Finally, there's the silicone, aka my favorite. This was rich and slick to the touch, thick, but not too thick or sticky. It takes a bit longer to get out of the bottle, but its well worth it.

I didn't taste any of these and wouldn't personally recommend doing so, though I don't think doing so accidentally would harm you. The smell of each was light and slightly sweetly chemical. They all smelled nearly exactly the same, though the silicone smelled sweetest of all and the water based had a slightly more bitter/acidic aroma to it.

Each of these lubricants worked well and seemed to last at least an hour. However, the water-based did need reapplying several times before it would stay slick. It's easy to wash off and cleans up well with simple soap and water. It can be cleaned off any toys with your usual toy cleaner.

This variety comes in a nice neat little box and each bottle of lubricant has a nice, colorful, easy to read label. These five one ounce bottles are easy to open and to store.
