Maximus - water based lube by Bodywise Limited - review by Lover

Maximus lube is a nice, slick, water-based lube that is safe to use both vaginally and anally. As an added bonus, water-based lubes are compatible with pretty much all toy and condom materials, so grabbing the Maximus is a safe bet no matter what toy/orifice/safer sex barrier combination you might cook up.

Anyone wanting lube for penetration or masturbation should check out this lube. The only sex act for which this lube is not particularly well suited is oral. While the taste is not terrible, it's definitely not a yummy flavor. Other than that, the only people who should avoid this lube are people who are sensitive to parabens. Happily, Maximus is glycerin free, so it shouldn't trigger yeast infections.

This lube has a nice gel-like consistency that makes it easy to control the application. You won't be dripping this lube all over the sheets, or find it running down your arm as you try to lube up a dildo. The texture is smooth and slick and it stays that way for a nice long time.

While I would hardly call this lube tasty, it's not so bad that I mind getting a little bit in my mouth. The taste is a little bit sweetish and somewhat bitter. It doesn't particularly smell like much at all.

This lube really does stay nice and slippery for a much longer than any other water-based lube I have ever tried. I particularly like the way that this lube stays slick and doesn't get tacky or sticky as it dries. I also like that it leaves behind very little noticeable residue once it does dry. It cleans up easily with soap and water.

My only complaint about the packaging is that I had a terrible time trying to unlock the pump for the first time. Once unlocked, however, the pump top is great for quick, and precise access to your lube during sex. The pump top can be re-locked for transporting the bottle, but at 8+ oz this is not a convenient travel-sized package of lube.

I decided to invest in a bottle of Maximus because I was sick of having to pause in the middle of creative sex to contemplate which lube to use. If we put oil based lube on that butt plug, we can't switch to latex condoms for anal penetration later, so let's use the silicone lube, but that's not compatible with the silicone toys, so we better use the glass plug, etc. I was particularly excited to try out the Maximus for anal play since it has such a strong reputation as a super slick and long-lasting lube, and it did not disappointed in this regard. It made anal penetration extra easy and pleasurable, and we didn't even need to reapply during the action, which is a nice bonus. We also found that a little bit goes a long way, and one over zealous application made the butt plug we were using slip right out of me.

My partner and I have also been trying to work up to vaginal fisting, and while we are still not quite all the way there, our first attempt with the Maximus lube went extremely well. We used lots and lots, and it made things much easier and more pleasurable than ever before. I will definitely be keeping my bottle handy in the future!
