Maximus is a great all-around lubricant for any of your lubricant needs. It's thick enough for anal play, but thin enough to be a regular lubricant for use with your toys. Anyone could fall in love with Maximus, and it is great for everyone, both men and women.

Maximus is comparable to a very thick lotion. It honestly reminds me of liquid gelatin before it sets. It looks like it may be "chunky" when looking at the bottle, but it goes on smooth and extremely slippery. If you put a drop or two on your skin it easily stays in place, but as it warms up to your body it will begin to slip off of you.

I personally wouldn't describe Maximus to feel greasy. It is slippery, but you still get that "water-based feel" when it is on your hands. There's obviously a huge difference between oil and water-based lubricants. I would actually compare it more to a silicone lubricant.

Maximus lubricant does, however, feel a little sticky at first. Not the kind of sticky that you get when syrup is on your hands... More like the feeling that your hands have "too much" lotion on them. But honestly, we buy lube to get the extra slip n' slide, so I don't see this to be an issue.

It is really easy to dispense, as Maximus comes in a push-pump bottle. I find this to be really convenient, especially at your bedside. My fiance and I are moving in to the new house and the bottle sits nicely on our new bedside dresser - ready to pump whenever we need it!

So to sum it up, Maximus is going to be THICK, SMOOTH, and SLIPPERY.

Now, I am sad to say that Maximus has a bit of a nasty taste to it. It's not enough to have me ready to vomit, but it is bitter and I could do without it. I don't recommend using this as an oral sex lubricant. Stick strictly to anal and vaginal sex with this one.

If I could compare the taste to something, I would have to say an unscented hand soap the taste you get when you don't chew your aspirin. So it isn't unbearable, and I guess some people may be able to work around it if they really have to... but I'll say no to any oral with this stuff. Icky!

There is no aroma whatsoever - at least none that are noticeable to my fiance and I. I really like this because I often use lubricants that have too much of an aroma, and it leaves me with a headache at the end of the night. If you're a person like me, you would love Maximus.

Maximus performs amazingly. Now that I have used this particular lubricant, I might just have to get rid of the others and convert! It is good for any situation, any occasion, and gets the job done right.

When applying the lubricant, it goes on as thick as lotion, but absorbs very well into the skin. This means that if you're just too tired after play, you could easily fall asleep and wake up feeling as dry as you would normally be. I really like this about Maximus and it is one of the reasons why I have fallen in love with this lubricant.

If you were to accidentally spill some Maximus on your bedsheets, it dries up and is virtually invisible within a few hours, however not completely. You will need to wash your sheets if you spilled tons of it, but the stain it leaves behind without being washed is very hard to see. So if it doesn't bother you, there isn't really a reason to wash the sheets. Since Maximus is clear, once washed, there will be no stains lingering behind on your precious fabrics.

I do prefer to shower whenever possible after sex, but Maximus really makes it easy so that you don't have to. Of course, you should really shower to avoid yeast infections from the germs of your partner. However, Maximus itself will not give you a yeast infection as it is Bio-Static; which means it will prevent the spreading of bacteria, fungi spores and yeast infections. This is every woman's dream lubricant!

Now Maximus is long lasting. Although it absorbs into the skin very well, it's going to stay wet for about an hour. You will most likely not have to reapply Maximus unless you are pulling an all-nighter.

Maximus comes only in the bottle itself. It is clear and see through, with no sort of promiscuous label. The only thing that gives it away as lubricant are the clearly printed words on the front. The bottle says "A WATER-BASED SENSUAL LUBRICANT". I found this to be absolutely annoying because I'm not fully moved into my new home, and right now I'm bunking at my parents. This is obviously not something you want to see lying around your home when family is there.

I tried to peel off the label, but it is stuck on the bottle by some very sticky adhesive that will allow you to remove the label - but not the adhesive itself. You're better off just taking a sharpie (if worst comes to worst) and scribbling out the words on the cover or pouring this stuff into another bottle.

The bottle itself is shipped alone in a few thick layers of plastic bag material. It is very secure and did not leak at all (THANK GOD!). The bottle itself is actually really good as far as leaks go. I hung it upside down and nothing dripped out of the push pump. This is always a plus!

It is suitable for travel, as the push pump can be turned and locked shut. That way you can store it in your luggage without any mess. I honestly prefer the push pumps over the bottles with the snap-open caps. Those seem to make the worst messes for me.

Maximus has a high Glycol content, which will help you retain natural moisture and also gives this lubricant a thick, smooth viscosity. One reason why this is basically the BEST anal lubricant available.

This lubricant is Bio-Static as well. For those of you who don't know what that means; Maximus will prevent the spreading of any bacteria, fungi spores and it will prevent yeast infections.

Glycerin free / L-Arginine free

For anybody who enjoys anal sex, this is a wonderful choice. Not only is this lubricant very thick, but the Bio-Static feature will really reduce the chances of infection from anal sex. Anal sex infections are very common due to the germs in human feces so you really want to take careful measures when doing anal play of any kind.

I do want to add that although this is a thick lubricant, you can thin it down depending on how much you use. A tiny drop is comparable to a quarter-sized amount of Pink Water. So if it's a day where you just need a little help "getting it in," a tiny drop will do. If it's a night where you plan on having some rough anal sex, one squirt from the pump is probably enough to last you throughout the night with no problem at all. One reason why this lubricant is great for anyone and everyone!

My experience with Maximus has been absolutely one of a kind. I never thought I would ever find a lubricant that I liked more than Pink Water, but this is it! I don't think I could ever turn back! I have struggled with yeast infections all my life, especially recently. To know that my lubricant is safe to use and wont cause a yeast infection just really makes sex all the more enjoyable. I can finally stop worrying about rushing to the restroom to wash off, and spend my time relaxing and enjoying love-making with my fiance. I recommend this for every couple. Not just those who have anal sex! This is a wonderful lubricant for any occasion!
