K-Y yours and mine - lubricant by K-Y Brand - review by Sera

This is a lubricant set made just for couples. That much is true. One is for "her," and one is for "him," although in my opinion I think that any couple can use them, whether they be male or female. heterosexual or gay. This can be chosen to be used in the bedroom, in the kitchen, on the couch...The bottles state that the menthol included in the set may cause allergic reactions in some users. If you are allergic to menthol, I would not recommend buying this product. These are water based lubricants, however, so they're compatible with any toy. Also, these two are mainly a set because, like chemistry, they interact in a way that gives special sensations to both partners. That is to say, that when the "hers" lubricant is applied to "her" areas, and when the "his" lubricant is applied to "his" areas, they combine to bring a special tingling sensation.

The ingredients are as follows. These are really hard to find on the box, but are on the back at the bottom, and in very small print. They're extremely hard to see!

Yours For Him: Glycerin,Propylene Glycol, Maltodextrin, Honey (Miel), Methylparaben, Sucralose.
Mine for Her: Water (eau), Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 60, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Benzoic Acid, Menthyl Lactate, Methyl Salicylate, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium H

These are both really smooth and slippery, and very wet. They are water based lubricants, so they are easy to pour and maybe a bit runny. They don't stay in place very well, but when in use they last a good amount of time. They are both sticky, but not extremely sticky. I would recommend using soap and water to wash these off because they stick and the smell is very strong, but don't put soap in your genital areas (At least not a lot, as this can cause rashes and such). Maybe after sex both partners could take a shower or separate showers to get the stickiness off if it was an annoyance. The lube also feels very warm to the touch, and velvety.

I can't really describe the taste, and although this set of lubricants is edible, it tastes really weird, and really fake. It also kind of tastes like Vick's Vapo Rub, or Vaseline, but with a strawberry taste, and a really minty kind of taste. The mintiness is what makes me think of the Vick's Vapo Rub. The aroma is very light, and doesn't smell very strong, but does remind me of Vaseline in a way. The scent comes off when washed off with soap and water, so not to worry about the Vick's Vapo Rub smell, haha.

I'd say that the set lasted a good thirty minutes, tops. It wasn't bad, and the tingly sensation that my husband and I felt really gave us a good impression. If nothing else, the tingling sensation ROCKS. We did have to wash it off afterward because it made our hands, genitals and mouths (everywhere that the lube touched) tingle, and the tingling mixed with the menthol lasted for a long time, even after washed off. It was kind of hard to get off in my opinion, especially because I could still feel the tingle after it was mostly gone. It does absorb nicely into genitals and into the skin, and I think it would work great for massage if one liked the tingling and wanted the lube used in such a way. I still want to say that if one is allergic to menthol, the lube should not be used. Otherwise allergic reactions could very well occur.

The set came in an elegant and quite attractive black paperboard box with the picture of the product on the front. I do have to say, however, that the picture of the lube was much prettier than the lube itself, but I liked the blue bottle the best, the one for him. The box would work great for storage because the lube won't slide around (Special slots inside keep the bottles in place and secure, like the boxes that Easter bunnies come in that have the slots for the ears to go through.) and the paper on the box is thick and easy to fit in a drawer or box. The box is really hard to get open, though, in my opinion, because of the flaps. User's instructions weren't included, but this poetic summary is written on the back of the box, and made my eyebrows go up, as well as attract me:

"One + one = everything. It takes two. To make Chemistry. To make magic. To make love. That's why it takes two lubricants to let your lovemaking add up to a totally new experience. You do the math: An invigorating warming sensation for him. A thrilling tingling sensation for her. Put the two together and suddenly, everything's just right. Better than just right. Completely new and unexpected. More exciting. More satisfying. More everything."

It seemed really poetic to me.
