My Arm Gave Out Before the Lube Did.

Jack-Aide holds itself out as a long-lasting water-based lube good for extended jerking off sessions. I think the product lives up to those claims. Just remember that all water-based lubes need reapplication at some point, but I found this to be a satisfying product.

Use

Jack-Aide is a "medium density" water based lube. The medium density refers to its thickness, which comes in right between those watery lubes and those very thick ones (although this one is a bit thicker than the average water based lube). It is marketed as a masturbation lube, and in particular, as the notes on the bottle indicate, this one is "formulated for intense masturbation" (hence, the extra thickness). It can also be used for partner play, either with someone using it to jerk you off or by using it as a lube for vaginal or anal sex.

Like with any lube, if you are using it anally, apply generously and be ready to reapply as needed. This is good for anyone who wants to glide more easily through whatever narrow space that his penis is slipping through (cupped palm, vagina or anus).

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

As mentioned above, Jack-Aide is a bit thicker than the average water based lube. The goal was to come up with something that is closer to the consistency of silicone. I think they succeeded at that. But (I know, there always has to be a but), there is always a trade-off between water-based and silicone lubes. Water-based is lighter and easier to clean up. Silicone lasts longer but you have to be careful about what you use it with and you have to be more careful about not making a mess. So, Jack-Aide does feel a bit like silicone lube, but it still performs like a water-based lube. That's not a problem, but you will need to reapply after a while. I was impressed with how long it kept its silky feel before getting tacky. I had cum once already just before using this, so I was able to give it a good long workout. By the end of extended athletic jerking there was some tackiness, but the cure for that is just to reapply. No big deal.

Taste / Aroma

There is no unique odor to speak of. Jack-Aide smelled like most lubes. I didn't taste it, but I imagine it tastes like most unflavored water-based lubes, if that's a taste that does anything for you.

Performance

It's funny to rate lubes on how long they last, when it is so easy to just put more on. Unless you make the mistake of taking just a tiny bit that will have to last you for weeks, there never is a problem with putting more on when you feel you need it. With that said, Jack-Aide did hold up impressively for a jerk session so furious that I needed to take a brief break to give my arm a rest. When you are done, it washes off easily (I cleaned up using a wipe) and doesn't leave any stains. So, on the whole (or in the hole) this is a good water-based lube that you will find satisfying.

Packaging

The package is a small cylinder that will fit in your pocket. You would also be able to put this one in your carry-on luggage, since it is less than 3 ounces. I would say it is fairly discreet, but anyone who is close enough to read the package, of course, will know what it is for.

Personal comments

Lube is not a one-size-fits-all item. It depends on what you are doing with it (jerking off, lubricating the vagina, preparing the ass for some athletic fucking), what tools you might be using (silicone toys) and how bothered you will be if lube gets on your sheets, carpet, couch, etc. So, know your options. But I have to say, for an extended jerking off session it was a great choice. I do get lube all over the place because in the heat of the moment, I am not always interested in being so careful about where the lube lands. So, I am very pleased when a quick wipe is all I need to get the room (and my penis) looking like it did before I started.
