My New Lover, My New Love, Dr. Love

Dr. Love Silkening Lubricant is the most luxurious, barely there yet effective silicone lube I've used to date. It feels like pure silk, luxurious, sleek, with plenty of glide and reduction of friction yet is so light you forget it's even there. Purely amazing.
Published: November 13, 2009
Pros:
Exceptionally silky, luxurious, cyclic silicone free, long lasting barely there feel.
Cons:
Not the best for anal or manual male stimulation, not for use with silicone toys.

I don't like it anymore sounds so harsh...

I do still like this lube, I just don't love it. It's silky. It glides. It slides. It feels really good. But it seems to dry up faster than any other silicone lube I've tried and the reason I LIKE silicone is because it's so long lasting. Having to reapply a time or two or three during one romp in bed is just a pain in the ass. Sometimes literally!

Dr. Love is still nice, it's still free from cyclic silicones and a bit different than the rest, but I'd give it three stars rather than five if I were rating it now.

Awesome review!

What is cyclic silicone?

And how did you like it for your hair?

It worked great on my hair! Smile I use just a wee bit, rubbed between my hands and then smoothed over my hair as the final step when I've straightened it, etc.

It's awesome.

Cyclic silicone is...Cyclomethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane... and I think those may be the more pore blocking of the silicones? I'm not sure.

This one definitely seems much different than the ones I have that have those ingredients in them. Different yet the same. This one is more easily absorbed, less greasy and somehow lighter.

Hope that makes sense.

Maybe one of our scientists can explain better. Smile

I just tried this, doing the review now. I wonder if the bottle life is short? I didn't have a problem with it drying up at all. Great review Carrie Ann.

Correct the cyclic silicones do block your pores, so they leave you a bit pimply if you use them for massage. Another thing they do is stain! which is what is great with Dr.Love, it will wash out of your bed sheets!

But more seriously cyclic silicones have very serious health concerns, ranging from suspected links to cancer, auto immune disease and tumours.

A good source for this info is here link

I was horrified when I read this. I only use Dr Love and Getmaxxx silicone lube now. I love them. I haven't noticed them dry up any quicker. I use them as a moisturiser too, especially on my tattoos, and I LOVE them for massage
