extremely useful review
The silky, sleekness of this absolutely gorgeous lube is only comparable to the something the ancient greek gods must have used. I like think of Aphrodite sitting in her glistening boudoir atop Mt. Olympus. She waves her long and lovely arm, motioning toward one of her many muscled love slaves. Calling him gently over to her with a wave of her slender hand and he crawls slowly amongst the silky linens adorning the goddesses voluptuous body as Aphrodite produces a tiny jewelled bottle. Pouring a seemingly small amount into her small yet luscious hand, a tiny glistening puddle of the most delicate and nourishing liquid in the known world.

That is exactly how I feel about the Sliquid Organics Silk lubricant, it's the most natural and beautifully slick lube I've ever had the pleasure of trying. This milky white fluid comes in a 4.2 or 8.5 ounce bottle and has a simple elegance about it. The dark brownish bottle is completely opaque and is adorned with a lovely natural fibre coloured label. The font on the label is small and quite discreet and even though it's not lacking in information about the lube and its ingredients, it still could sit happily in any bathroom without calling any attention to itself.

The Sliquid Organics Silk boasts all natural ingredients, glycerin, paraben and petroleum free plus it's hypo allergenic, non staining and 100% vegan friendly. The Ingredients that make up this nectar of the Gods are; Purified water, Plant cellulose(from cotton),Aloe borbadenis, Natural tocopherole(Vitamin E), Cyamopsis, Extracts of Hibiscus, Flax, Green tea and Sunflower seed, Isopropyl Palmitate, Polysorbate 20, Dimethicone, Emolient Ester, Citric Acid, Phenoxyet. Now I'm not sure what all of these are but I trust that they are as harmless as advertised and I know that combined they make the best lube I've tried to date.

The texture of The Sliquid Organics Silk is amazing, it's thick but not getting toward a jelly like consistency and it feels fantastic on the skin. The mild scent and light not unpleasant taste make this lube a dream to use absolutely anywhere and being completely water based it's safe to use on any type of toy and material. I have found that it can be absorbed fairly quickly into the skin but I love this lube so much that reapplying is a joy, it doesn't leave any stickiness or any residue and I've even used it as a hand lotion with great success!
Follow-up commentary
Needless to say that my squid is my still my fave lube and it's my hot spots BFF. It keeps my nether regions moist and actually moisturises my skin at the same time as keeping me nice and slick for play.

Wonderful descriptive review, and great imagery.

It does have dimethicone, though, which is actually silicone, so I'd make sure people spot test any more sensitive silicone (like VixSkin) before lubing it up.

@ Antipova Oh wow! Thank you for letting me know, I had no idea that was silicone! That's a great piece of info to have and I'll make sure to look out for it in other lubes now, Thank you again.

This sounds amazing. I adore all the sliquid lubes I've tried so far...I really ought to splurge on a bottle of this soon.

Thanks for listing the ingredients. It has some silicone in it, so it is not one for me.

  • Lies!!
    • I was about to get the Sliquid silk organics over the regular Sliquid organics...until I stumbled across a review that says that it's not entirely water-based. It's actually a water-silicone hybrid lube, but Eden has it listed solely as a water-based lube. I was intending to purchase it to use with my silicone toys (which has the possibility of warping the silicone toys), so I'm very grateful that someone thought to post the truth about this lube in their review.
    • I've noticed this, too. As far as I've know, the only hybrid lube that is listed as "silicone/water" is Wet Synergy. Anybody know why this is?
    • It says the base is silicone / water on the product page - or do you mean it's listed that way somewhere else?

  • Sliquids shelf life?
    • Does anybody know what the shelf life on this would be? I'm wondering if it would be less than other lubes because of all the natural ingredients it contains. Any info on this or other natural lubes would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd like to know what it is as well.
    • I prefer the Sliquid organics line myself, but I don't know the shelf life. I'd love to know as well

  • Why is it called silk?
    • just wondering why it is called silk? I assume there is not silk involved since this is a vegan product. right? I have seen some cosmetics "infused with real silk" so the name is throwing me off. Just wanted reassurance
    • I'm going to answer assuming your question is serious.

If you read the product description, it states "Natural creamy and silky, non-sticky texture." The name "Silk" is referring to the texture of the lubricant, meaning it is smooth as in "smooth as silk."

when you have people try to sabotage you, it is not unreasonable to get paranoid. I know it says vegan, but so have lots of things that have said vegan but then were not.

like I said. just wanting reassurance. thanks.
