Toyfluid - lubricant by Fun Factory - review by Eva Schwaltz

Toyfluid, from Fun Factory, is a water-based lubricant designed to give you more lubrication during sex or while playing with your toys. It works best vaginally. I wouldn't recommend it as an anal lubricant because it is a little thin and tends to wear down fast. This lube will not last long in the shower or tub because it will just wash away since it is water-based.

It comes with a pump, which is handy to get the exact amount you want. No having to pour out of the bottle, potentially causing a mess. It is safe to use with all materials, including silicone and all kinds of condoms.

Here are the ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Ethoxydiglycol, Hydropropyl, Guar Hydroxypropultrimonium Chloride, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Benzyl Alcohol / Methylisothiazolinone / Methylchloroisothiazolinone.

As you can see, it contains glycerin, which can cause yeast infections, so avoid this lube if you know you have reactions to it. It is, however, L-Arginine-free, petrochemicals-free, and paraben-free.

Toyfluid will become runny when it comes into contact with a warm surface, but it won’t drip everywhere. The consistency is very slick and smooth, making you feel very moist. It doesn't feel oily or greasy like some other lubes.

The pump dispenses a little dab of the liquid, which can easily be spread around with your finger. At first, it is rather silky, but not at all stringy. It doesn't absorb in my skin nicely. Instead, it begins to feel sticky and slightly tacky, but it can easily be washed off.

This leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth, so it is not good for oral. I also don’t care for the scent of this lube. It smells like some kind of acidic cleaner. When a little blob is dispensed from the pump, the smell isn't so bad, but if you unscrew the top, then it is very noticeable.

I prefer to use only water-based lubes, so I thought I'd give this a try. I like water-based because they are easy to wash off, and won't stain any of my sheets or clothes.

While this isn't my favorite lube, it certainly helps get the job done. The pump dispenser only pumps out a small amount, so I tend to use three to four blobs in one go without having to reapply. When I first apply it, I notice a slight burning sensation, but the sensation doesn't last long. I don’t get any further reactions from it. I may be just sensitive to the acidity of all the chemicals.

If you don't need a lot of lube, and don't mind a thinner consistency but still like your play to be friction-less, then give Toyfluid a try.

The bottle has no extra packaging. Everything you need to know is on the bottle itself. It is just a silver tin bottle which looks no different from sun block or hairspray, so you can leave it out. It's very slender, and stands 6.5 inches tall, so you can store it anywhere if you need to. Personally, I just leave it on my nightstand.

The pump doesn't lock, but there is a cap to put over it, so it doesn't get accidentally pressed. So far, it is only offered in 3.4 ounces, but each Fun Factory toy has little packets of Toyfluid for you to try. There is a tiny indentation on my bottle that probably occurred during shipping, but it hasn't affected the contents inside in any way.
