Sliquid sizzle - lubricant by Sliquid, LLC - review by chikeeez2

My reason for choosing sliquid sizzle warming formula was that I wanted a warming lube that would not break my budget. While not the most popular warming lube on this site, sliquid sizzle had received some positive feedback and I was curious to try it. While there are some features of this lube that I really do like, my experience with this product was that it did not live up to my expectations.

Sliquid sizzle comes in hard plastic bottle with a cap that seals nicely- no leaking- with some entertaining pictures and writing on it. This water-based lube is vegan friendly, which is pretty neat (if that’s something you’re concerned about). It is glycerin-free and hypoallergenic, so it *should* be good for sensitive types/skin. It has a menthol flavor reminiscent of cough drops which is not that bad but it’s not that great either. However, the fact that it’s non-staining and can be used with a variety of toy materials is a plus.

This lube initially has a really nice consistency and definitely gives an enjoyable warming sensation. Having never tried a warming lube before, I was pleasantly surprised at how warming it actually was. While the bottle claims that this product is “formulated to last longer than most Hollywood marriages”, I found this simply was not the case- this lube dried up really quickly and left a weird residue on the glass toy I was using it with. I had to constantly reapply during my play session which was really frustrating. The bottle claims that the lube can be reactivated by reapplying or by adding water- while frequent reapplication may do the trick, adding water is not going to work very long at all as this lube is water-soluble (meaning- it will dissolve in water).

While I did not find the product to be irritating during use, I definitely noticed it afterwards and the resulting UTI was not fun at all! I have never been bothered by different types of lubes or toy materials before so this was really an unpleasant surprise. I hate to give up on something after just one use and would love to give this product another try but I don’t think the slight benefits of Sliquid Sizzle are worth it. This is not to say that this lube would be irritating to others, simply buyer beware though!

I think that if Sliquid could find a way to make a longer-lasting formula, this would be a great product. While Sliquid Sizzle could be used as a way to jumpstart some serious fun, don’t expect this lube to provide anything other than a temporary warming sensation. If you’re looking for a really great warming lube, I would suggest looking elsewhere and to not be afraid to splurge on a really great product!
