Use

This is a great water-based lubricant for vaginal or clitoral use. As a water base lubricant, it can be used with anything. I don't use lubricant vaginally because I've never needed to, but I really like how slick synthetic lubricants feel against my clitoris. This was an excellent lubricant that my partner and I will be keeping around for a long time! One reason why this lubricant attracted us was the defense properties. It contains ingredients that help to prevent yeast infections and HPV contraction. Although I don't know much about anal play, my understanding is that thicker lubes are much better for that purpose, and this, although not especially runny, was certainly not a gel, so I can't recommend it for that. Because it is supposed to protect against yeast infections, I doubt the designers had any kind of anal play in mind anyway. If you want a defensive lubricant for that, Intimate Organics has a lubricant for anal play that is anti-bacterial.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

It is not incredibly thick by any means, but this is definitely NOT super runny either. We both really liked the viscosity and thought it stayed in place well without being one of the gel lubricants I often use because Thin and runny is typically my first reason to stop using a lubricant, but this was not like those cheap lubricants that feel like water on your hand . It does pour quickly, though. This may not be incredibly runny, but it is definitely not a gel. The texture is very slick and smooth. It did not feel greasy or sticky; in fact, I thought it felt like soft silk sheets, and it helped me achieve a really long and fantastic orgasm. It felt great, in one word. I really endorse this lubricant heavily!

Taste / Aroma

The smell of this lube is the best I've ever smelled. Most lubricants don't really smell like much, or have kind of a weird scent if you try really hard to smell them, but my partner and I both loved the smell of this lubricant. It smelled like roses! I never thought something that protects against yeast infections would smell like roses, but this sure does. We both agreed that it was the best smelling lubricant we'd ever smelled before. You don't have to try very hard to smell it (you won't get it on your nose!) but you also can't smell it as soon as you open the bottle, so I've tagged "light smell." It smells like roses are next to you. I thought that was a great addition. Normally I don't care what lubricant smells like, but now that I've experienced wonderfully smelling lubricant, I think I care more!

Performance

This product lasted a long time in my opinion. For my clitoris, we reapplied some after about 10-15 minutes, and the 2nd reapplication finished me very quickly. I'm also notorious for wanting to apply more lubricant even when it's soaked down there, so others would be most likely able to make it last longer. I was impressed with how long it lasted considering it isn't very thick. That is definitely a plus for me. What I like about lubricant is that it feels a little different from my own wetness, and a lot of lubricants eventually feel too natural for me to get that effect. Although this felt similar to my own wetness, it also had this added silky feeling that was really stimulating and arousing. It was easy to wipe off, and is definitely easy to wash off in the shower. What I did not wipe off absorbed well into my skin so if you can't get to the bathroom, no big deal, especially since it is free of a lot of problem ingredients, and has some nice bonus ones!

Packaging

The lubricant came in a box with the same picture and color. It was essentially the same as the bottle, but in box form. It's not worth keeping. The bottle itself I would call discreet. I would never expect lubricant to have the word "Defense" really large on the bottle. I also have not seen many green lubricant bottles. I would expect that it was sunscreen with aloe or something like that. I think this lubricant is really suitable for travel. It's a 4 ounce bottle, so it's pretty compact, but will still last a long time. It also has a really nice cap in comparison to the other lubricants I have now. It's like a shampoo bottle cap where you have to push down for it to snap open. It takes a lot of pressure, more than my shampoo bottles do, so it's hard to do accidentally. It doesn't have a bunch of sticky lube coming out like a couple other bottles I have. I think this is the most travel friendly bottle of lube I have, and it's also my new favorite! Unfortunately it only lets me choose 3 tags, but I would choose all these if I could:

-Can be opened with one hand
-Discreet looking packaging
-Does not leak
-Easy to use/dispense
-Recyclable
-Travel Friendly

Special Features

This is a regular lubricant, no tingling or warming effects or anything like that, but it's special in that it can help prevent certain problems common to women. It contains sea kelp and guava bark. Sea kelp helps restore natural pH levels in the body. This could help prevent problems like bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections, which occur when the pH levels in the vagina are not where they should be. In briefly browsing the web, I found an article stating that women who are pregnant or nursing should not use sea kelp supplements. Because lubricant is absorbed through the skin, I can see how this lubricant could also be a problem for these individuals, so do your research if that concerns you. Guava bark is naturally anti-bacterial, so this can help prevent bacterial infections as well. I assume this would help with urinary tract infections but I am not positive. It also contains carrageenan, which is supposed to help prevent HPV contraction, a major issue of this decade with all of the new studies about cervical cancer and genital warts in women. Also, this lube is just good frigging lube! These properties are just a bonus to add to an already awesome product. This is also vegan, paraben free, and glycerin free.

Experience

As I've said before, I love this lubricant. It's awesome and my new favorite. When this runs out, I will definitely purchase more. In fact, I may purchase more now in the off chance that they decide to stop selling it despite its thus far rave reviews, that's how much I want this lubricant to stay in my life. I loved how it felt, and the added properties are awesome, as someone susceptible to UTIs, and a woman who is genuinely concerned about vaginal health.
Follow-up commentary
This is still my favorite lubricant. My partner and I both absolutely love it. I hope Eden never stops selling it! You need to buy this lube now. It feels great, just like in my original review. I love the feeling of it and a little bit goes a long way. It's the best basic lubricant I've ever used, and the added features of helping to prevent yeast infections and HPV are pretty great plusses to an already fabulous product. I love this lube and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lubricant for clitoral stimulation or vaginal sex.
