One of Our Least Favorite Lubricants

We were very disappointed with this lube. We bought it before knowing about glycerin and parabens, and threw it out after doing some research. I understand that it was marketed at an anal lube, so my opinion about it's vaginal performance may not interest you. We did use it anally though. It got sticky too quickly and wasn't as thick as we like for anal sex. Spend a little more money and buy a great safe lube like Sliquid Sassy Booty.

Use

This lube is made primarily for anal sex but can be used for vaginal and masturbation if needed. We found that it wasn't near as thick as we like for anal, and we think that when using a water-based lube for anal rather than silicone that it's necessary for it to be thicker than this. It contains glycerin and parabens, which are a big no-no for lubes with us.

It won't work well in water, as it is waterbased. I mentioned that it contains glycerin which has been known to cause yeast infections. Steer clear of any lubes with glycerin if you are prone to yeast infections, or are just being cautious.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

It is slightly thicker than regular water-based lubricants but not as thick as my partner and I like for anal sex. Seeing as this is marketed as an anal sex lube, we expected something thicker. It is fairly easy to pour and does stay in place without running all over the place. This is appreciated as no one wants to have lube dripping all over the sheets. When in use it isn't bad, but did need to be reapplied periodically.

It dries sticky and we always felt the need to wash it off right after using. It didn't feel natural at all. Even though it is meant for anal sex, it can be used vaginally. When using vaginally, I found that I often had a weird smell in my vagina. I suspect this has something to do with the parabens and glycerin.

Taste / Aroma

The taste was off and tasted a little chemically. There was no smell and it didn't remind me of anything.

Here are the ingredients: Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben, Sodium Carboxy, Methyl Cellulose, Glycerine, Purified Water

It is clear in color and I liked that it didn't contain any numbing agents, because this can be dangerous.

Performance

It had to be reapplied periodically and needed to be washed off right away. It felt very un-natural and a little sticky which wasn't pleasant at all. The glycerin and parabens disappointed me and I was afraid to use it ever again after I noticed an odd smell coming from my vagina after using this lube. Note, my partner and I were freshly showered. The only thing that went on was vaginal sex. This had made me stop use immediately.

Experience

This was the first anal lubricant we tried and we were both disappointed. It wasn't thick enough for us (we now love Sliquid Sassy) and it dried sticky. Sticky lube makes for horrible anal sex! The fact that it contains glycerin means I will never touch it again. I experienced an odd smell in my vagina after using this vaginally. It stopped once we discontinued use.
