Ooh la la...

I really have nothing negative to say about this product. Its hands down the best lube for me so far. If you're looking for a long lasting and moisturizing lube, this is gonna be great for you. Just don't lick it.

Use

This product is amazing. It is probably by far the best lube I have used. My partner and I can't get enough. It's great for solo play as well as intercourse and hand jobs. I'm not really into anal so I cant comment on that, but I am sure it would be fabulous for that as well. I'll admit at first I was concerned as it is a milky white color, and that's just not what I am used to. But wow, it's silk in a bottle.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture is great; it's not too thick or too thin. It has good viscosity. I love the silky feel and it doesn't get sticky or dry out. The pump bottle makes it super easy to dispense, and keeps things cleaner and more sanitary. It also doubles as a great moisturizing gel.

Taste / Aroma

Liquid Silk does have a lotion taste, so I wouldn't recommend licking anything after its been used. It also does have a faint smell, but it's a clean smell and not too chemically.

Performance

This lube could more than likely out last your session, it's that wonderful. There really isn't a need to wash up as the lube will soak in and feel great. But if you do feel the need to shower or clean up, it is easily removed with soap and water. Before finding this lube, I was using a water based lube from one of those passion companies and it was amazing stuff. If it did dry up, a little spit or water would get it going again. Although that was good, Liquid Silk is even better. You can't go wrong with this.

Packaging

I love the pump bottle and you get a whopping 8.45 oz. It's nice and discrete as most people think it's lotion, so I have no need to hide it. It also will travel really nice as the pump top does twist down and lock. The pump does squirt out a little too much product, but that's ok because it rubs in and feels divine.

Personal comments

I really liked that it doesn't contain any glycerin.It does have Parabens in it so know your allergies before hand. That being said i had no reactions to this.

It ingredients list is:
Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Dimethicone, Cellulose Polymer, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate NSE, B.N.P.D, Di Sodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, BHT.

Thanks for the review. What are the ingredients, and how large is the bottle? Does the pump top lock for travel?

Thank you i edited my review to include the answers to your questions. But will respond here as well. The pump top does twist down and lock so travel should be good. And you get 8.45 oz of product which is a great amount for such an affordable price. Ingredients are listed above. It does contain some parabens. But I love it and didnt have any reactions.

    • i get the impression that this is crap......
    • Liquid Silk's not a bad lube, but "crap" or "awesome" depends a lot on what you want out of your lube. Like, do you want one for anal play or vaginal? For shower play? Are you a stickler for healthy ingredients?

  • Liquid Silk and Silicone Toys
    • So, while looking through highly rated water based lubes, I came across Liquid Silk. Aside from the bitter taste, no one seems to have any complaints.

      However, I noticed that the fourth ingredient is Dimethicone - and I was wondering what everyone's experience with this and silicone sex toys was? Is the silicone in Liquid Silk a small enough portion that it has no effect on toys, or is it generally not recommended for that type of play?

      Or does the bonding potential of silicone lubes have more to do with the type/quality of silicone than anything else?
    • That's a really good question because Dimethicone is a silicone.

      Basically it should be ok to use as long as the toy is made of medical grade silicone. There should, in theory, be no reaction. I, personally, wouldn't want to test that out on my own toys though. You can do a patch test on a small part of the toy. The reaction should be immediate if there is going to be one.

      Anyone else know about this?
    • I have had liquid silk react to a silicone toy. Which sucks because I love it. :(
