System JO silicone warming lubricant - lubricant discontinued by System JO - review by ~LaUr3n~

This was the first warming silicone lubricant I ever tried. It's also the first warming silicone lubricant that was made. It is probably my favorite warming lubricant as well. It works not only for vaginal sex and toy play, but is excellent for anal making this a great all around go-to lubricant. The warming is unlike any I have felt before. It almost feels like a cool tingle at times that heats in waves. It's not too overwhelming and was comfortable for vaginal and anal for both males and females. It is long lasting and never sticky or tacky (a true claim from the packaging). With safe ingredients it is also recommended by many in the health care profession. It's even safe with latex condom types and can work in the shower.

It is seriously recommended worldwide by doctors and pharmacists! It also follows FDA guidlines and is made in the United States. It's ingredients are as follows (from the package):

Polydimethylsiloxane, Decamethylsyclopentasiloxane, Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, Dimethylsiloxane, Hydroxy-terminated, Capsium, Peppermint

Capsium is an interesting ingredient. It has actually been used to make pepper spray! It is a spice derived from the plant Capsicum and is used in many spicy dishes, mostly Indian. You may not be familiar with the plant, but you may have eaten the fruit of it, the Bell pepper. When capsium is ground and packaged for commercial sale it is often sold as Cayenne pepper. In this lubricant, the ingredient doesn't require this lubricant to be warmed by blowing. It activates on contact.

This lubricant is safe by also not having L-Arginine, Petro-chemicals, or parabens. It is glycerin free too. Specially formulated, it doesn't clog pores either!

In one word: amazing. This is among the best silicone lubricants I have tried. I wasn't surprised when I read that it is the highest grade silicone lubricant in the WORLD. It is thick but seems to spread out on its own. It doesn't run and only a small amount is needed to be very effective. It's unbelievably smooth, silky, and somewhat oil like - the high end kind. It feels a little bit like liquid make up remover, but not at messy or greasy feeling. It doesn't feel greasy as all. It turns any surface into silk.

The package says it is unscented and unflavored. I agree with everything on the package but their statement about it being unscented. It is true this has no taste, but it does have a scent. It has peppermint in it for God's sake. It totally smells like it. I really like that it does. It's not strong and doesn't leave my smelling like peppermint, but I prefer it over the "sterile" smell of some silicone lubricants.

Not only is this probably the best warming lubricant or added sensation lubricant I have tried, it's also one of the best lubricants period. Silicone lubricants can feel messy since they don't absorb into the skin as well as water based ones do (usually anyways, this one actually does that pretty well, but not too soon). I first used this with an anal toy, the Cobalt Wand. I was shocked with the amount of lubricant I needed to use the toy effortlessly. It was literally TWO drops. One for the toy and one for me. At first I couldn't feel anything, so I admired how silky the lubricant was. then, it slowly but surely started to feel...fucking amazing! It was like a rush of peppermint and capsium at once with a cooling sensation that was accelerated by the cold glass and a warming tingle that just heightened my anal sensations. The lubricant caused me to even forget about the toy. By itself, it's incredibly arousing. It lasted through the entire time I used the toy without reapplying either. This was about 20 minutes!

Vaginally, this lubricant is just as amazing. I liked using it anally more, however. For some reason I could feel the sensations a bit more anally. Maybe the skin there is thinner and more sensitive to pepper? It still was noticeable and added to my pleasure. It even can be used as a clitoral arouser if you rub it in nicely. My partner also enjoyed this lubricant. He too felt like there was an intermittent cooling sensation along with the warming. This lubricant can be placed on the inside and outside of a condom.

A really neat part about the lubricant is that when you wipe it off, it doesn't take long at all for the sensations to stop. So, if things get too heated for you, that is a sort of safety feature in a way. It seems to wash off of skin without soap and water if you don't use too much and have played for a while. If not, soap might be needed. It is definitely needed for washing off of toys. When running them under water, it is easy to feel that the lubricant isn't going anywhere. To add to that, this lubricant is excellent for shower or even tub play!

Like the other JO lubricants I have, the packaging is simple, but sharp and discreet. It comes in 2.5, 4.5, and 8 ounce bottles of the same design. Only the 2.6 and 4.5 versions are available on Eden currently. All of the bottle are clear and recyclable containers with black, push open tops. The bottle's sexual language is small and doesn't grab attention. This bottle sort of looks like a hair serum or face astringent, perhaps and after shave. If among other items, it can be left out. This bottle does leak ever so slightly if on its side for a while. Store it upright.

As far as price goes, the larger version is a much better buy. At less than $5 per ounce, it's worth it. The bottle will last you a really long time, especially if you don't use this as your 24/7 go to lubricant. There is no reason you can't though.

Random find: They now sell JO Systems lubricants at some Walgreens stores (not this one, though)! For those who use Eden just for our wonderful reviews, you can pick it up there. I think it's cool how more sexual items are going into mainstream public stores, better quality ones at that. Yeay!

Do not use this lubricant with silicone toys. It will ruin them. Resist the urge!
