Perfect General Use Lubricant

I love Maximus! It is definitely one of the most durable water-based lubes I've used. While it is recommended for anal play, I use it for vaginal penetration and it works amazingly well. It's very strong and long-lasting (a lot of water-based lubes wear off and dry out pretty quickly). I would recommend Maximus for any type of penetrative sexual activity.
As a university student in a big city, I have the privilege of receiving loads of condoms and lube packets at basically any event or building. They gave away free water-based lube packets like it was going out of style, so that was my main source of unnatural moisture during sex. However, it the lube was the absolute worst! It would dry up within minutes, and basically just end up being a counterproductive measure. I figured I would try something new. Sure, I could just get silicone based lube, but I wanted to be lazy. I went to the local sex toy shop (in this case, it was Babeland on the Lower East Side - BUT STILL BUY FROM EDENFANTASYS EVERYONE) and picked up a small bottle of Maximus. I REGRET ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I have used Maximus strictly for penis-in-vagina sexual intercourse. It's incredible and doesn't dry up in the way other water-based lubricants seem to do oh-so often. It is advertised as an anal sex lube, which just means it is extra-awesome at creating a slick and sexy time for you and your partner (or just you, really). Apparently this review has to be 300 words, but there isn't that much to say about Maximus lubricant except it works incredibly well, a little bit goes a long way, and BUY THIS LUBE RIGHT NOW. Unfortunately, it does not come in any tasty or bearable flavors, so I DO NOT recommend this lube for oral sex.

I'm not really sure what else to say here. Maximus is still my favorite water-based lubricant. While it is recommended for anal sex, I use it for penis-in-vagina intercourse. If you like water-based lubes. but wish they would last longer or be more effective, definitely get Maximus. I still have the same bottle (probably a testament to how little I get laid), and I love it!

I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?

I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.

Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

Is Maximus as Great as The Reviews Say?

Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.
Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.
I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me. -
This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.

It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5
I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad -

Nice first review! I was a fan of Maximus for a while, until I found Sliquid's Booty lube. It is the same thickness as Maximus, with none of the icky taste or not so fun stuff like glycerin or parabens.
How long did you find the Maximus lasted during sex? Also, how would you describe the taste of the lube?
