Pink is My New Obsession
Pink Water is a great water-based lube that's thick enough to stay where it's spread without being globby. It doesn't dry out quickly and is compatible with silicone toys. My favorite water-based lube.Published: April 13, 2010
Pros:
Easy to use, adorable bottle, long-lasting.
Cons:
Not completely tasteless, not as long lasting as silicone lubes are.
Pink Water is a water-based lubricant specially formulated for women. Glycerin free, it contains ginseng, aloe vera, avena sativa and guarana extracts. Personally, I'm a fan of anything with aloe vera.
Pink Water is unflavored, unscented, and moisturizes as it lubricates.
I rarely use lube for solo use, but my partner and I are long distance so I decided I would give it a shot.
When I opened the box from EdenFantasys, I was concerned. I was on a trip, and had my toys shipped ahead, and the lube was bubble-wrapped--my first thought was that it was a glass bottle, and the combination of my extreme clumsiness and the return trip would shatter it. Fear not, lovely readers, Pink Water comes in a plastic bottle so knocking it off the bedside table will not ruin your carpet!
Beyond that, the bottle is very cute; it looks like a lotion bottle, or a large perfume spritzer. It comes with a plastic cover for the pump so that it will not get accidentally pushed down, like in your purse or your luggage--it's very handy. I have the largest size and the bottle is small enough to fit in my purse, a carry-on size suitcase, or my toybox.
As for the lube itself, it worked really well. The lube is water based, which means it can be used with all of my silicone toys--a huge plus for me. I'm prone to yeast infections (if I look at lube, and I get one), but because it's glycerin free, I miss out on that unfortunate occurrence; to date, I haven't had one while using this lube!
Pink Water is on the thicker side for water-based lubricants, but it's not globby. With a thickness that prevents it from being a runny, messy nuisance, it's still thin enough to spread easily without waste.
It was completely odorless, and had a hint of a sweet taste, though I could not taste it at all once it came in contact with bodily fluids.
No complaints on the longevity scale, I did not need to reapply at all during usage, and once I finished, I didn't feel the need to get up and wipe off--there was no lube smeared everywhere, even on the toys. My hands were a little sticky after use, but nothing really horrible. Based on its disappearing act on my toys, I would assume that if I'd let it dry on my hands, they would have wound up just fine without a wash.
I did have a little trouble getting it to pump the first time--first I wasn't sure if I was supposed to twist it, or push down harder, or what, but I figured it out and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

I love the Pink silicone, so I'm surprised to hear the water-based is no good.

Length?

Which lube do you find lasts the longest without getting gross?
-
System JO seems to work pretty good for water based lubes, Better Sex essentials is the best I have tried when it comes to Silicone based.

I love pink silicone. The stuff lasts forever, but if we're talking water-based, so far I've been liking Blossom Organics (which I think is only sold on their website), but I don't have tons of experience with the water-based stuff.

packaging

how much does packaging influence your purchase? for me, the gawdy and tacky packaging is a total turn off- even if it has high ratings! should you really judge a lube by its cover?

I agree, I tend to be turned off by ridiculous packaging. I like things to be nicely designed and I am definitely more inclined to purchase those sorts of things.

In general no I wouldn't be turned off a highly rated lube if I didn't like its packaging. I'm not buying it for what it looks like, I'm buying it for how it works.

Thank you for viewing Pink Water – lubricant review page!

I still have yet to try any of the Pink series. With all of the great reviews its getting, I'm thinking I'm going to have to. Good review.
Nice review, thanks!
I agree with Miss Kay, I'm definitely going to have to start looking into this line a bit more. Thanks for the review
One I can't try, but it sounds nice
Good review!
After reading your review I can't wait for my bottle to arrive in the mail tomorrow. I got the smallest size to see if I will like it. If I do then I will defiantly order the biggest bottle.
Thank you!!
