Pjur Satisfaction

This lube is worth buying if you love anal sex, but water based lubes are just not slippery enough. This stuff is thick and feels more comfortable and relaxing than any other lube I've tried. It's only downside: I can't use it with my prized silicone toys.

Use

This lubricant is best used for its namesake: anything at all that is backdoor related. It works well enough for standard intercourse, or masturbation, but its true bread and butter is anal sex. Any one can use it. Women, men, partnered or solo. Pjur Backdoor can take a sometimes uncomfortable activity and make it easy and pleasurable. For this reason, it's an awesome choice for newcomers. Scratch that. If you are a beginner, and you don't mind spending a little extra to help get your first time right, than invest in this product. It is the best anal lube I've tried. It can be used with for anal intercourse, or with toys, it is a top performer for both.

There is a downside, however. The best lube I've tried cannot be used with the best toys I've tried. It's a tragic and bitter irony. The debate has dragged on and on, but folks, I'm 99.9% certain that silicone lubricants and silicone toys are simply not compatible. I've tried them all, but it just doesn't work. I wish it did. But it doesn't.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Pjur Backdoor's texture is thick and smooth. Because of this it has awesome staying ability. It doesn't run or drip, nor does it ball up or become waxy. It is a very clean lubricant. In water, it does bead, somewhat, but it still performs quite well.

Taste / Aroma

Pjur Backdoor is both unoffensive and un-fancy in terms of smell. In fact, it doesn't really smell like anything at all. I found this to be an excellent quality, because I hate it when a lubricant tries to be a shower gel. For those of you that like a lube that is functional, without any bells and whistles, this is a good bet.

For the purpose of this review, I dabbed a small amount of this lube on my tongue, just so that I could say how it tastes. I spit it out right after. While the taste was not particularly awful, it was somewhat chemically, and I didn't really want to ingest it.

Performance

In my experience the slippery consistency of Pjur Backdoor lasts for about 10 to 15 minutes of steady, but not intense action. After that, it still lubricates well enough, but a re-application may be needed if inserting anything of significant size or texture. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this element of the product.

Backdoor lube also contains a number of relaxing botanical additives. While originally skeptical that a product could truly do this without the use of chemical anesthetics, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this lube actually can relax the anus, making anal sex quite comfortable. The sensation was nothing like I imagined it. It didn't feel numb or fuzzy like other lubes can make you feel, but, rather, it felt much more natural.

As can be expected with any lube other than the water based ones, Backdoor needs to be washed off with soap and water. You may even need to take a thorough shower to fully rinse the skin of that slick and oily silicone feel. Some may find this a nuisance, but I actually find that this product moisturizes my skin after rigorous and sometimes taxing action.

    • Long lasting
    • Not compatible with all materials
Follow-up commentary
I don't use this lube as much as I'd like. Most of my toys are silicone so it doesn't often make it out of the toy box. Occasionally, though, we will use it for standard anal or for prostate massages, and it is certainly still my favorite lube for that

The thing that sucks about silicone lubes...of course is that it can't be used with silicone which for an anal lube double time sucks because silicone toys are best for anal due to the sterilizing capability. Pickle indeed lol. Great review!

This stuff looks great and I'm glad that it doesn't numb! Numbing stuff is horrible! This would actually go well with the latex harness we just got.

I agree! It sucks that some of the best, longest lasting lubes cannot be used with your favorite toys. This looks like an amazing lubricant non the less! Very nice review.

    • Does it desensitize pain wise? Or numbing at all..
    • Good question, we would like to know as well.
    • No it does not desensitize from pain. All this product does is help relax the muscles in the anus. It is made out of herbs and as it relax the anus in turn should make it easier for thing to go in and feel at least less uncomfortable. It also says that if you feel pain that you should stop what you are doing and try something else.
