Probe silky light review

Lubricant by BioFilm

Published: April 17, 2008
extremely useful review
Probe Silky Light is too slick for enjoyable intercourse, in my opinion, and not quite hefty and thick enough to stand up to toy play. Not a bad lube overall, but there are definitely better out there.
Pros:
Very slick, easy to remmove
Cons:
Very thin
Rating by reviewer:
This toy was definitely designed
Probe Silky Light is a lube whose quality depends on its use. I found it to be a wonderful, super-slick, almost silicone-like lubricant that worked wonderfully for sexual intercourse. However, the lube was not thick enough for my tastes when used with a medium-sized toy.

The lubricant is VERY thin—surprisingly so to me, since I’m used to using thicker lubes. This one felt almost like water. Granted, it felt like very slick and slippery water, and I didn’t have any qualms about its ability to provide lubrication.

The lube is smooth, colorless and odorless, and provides an extra something for those desiring more slippery intercourse. It is not really a natural feeling lube—it is too slick, and the glycerine content keeps it from feeling like natural lubrication. Still, it is thin and light enough to keep it from feeling like a sticky mess, and I did not find it uncomfortable or gloppy feeling. It removed easily with a baby wipe and dry towel with no sticky residue.

On the downside, I prefer my lubes slightly thicker than Probe Silky Light. I did not find it terribly effective with a substantial-sized toy (I try to use heftier ones when testing lubes). Without a doubt, it made the surface of the toy slick; it just didn’t provide any extra lasting lubrication during toy play. It did the job, but not as comfortably as I could have hoped.

Overall, Probe Silky Light missed the mark for me. I prefer my toy lubes slightly thicker, though just as slippery, to greatly reduce friction when using toys. For intercourse, I like natural-feeling lubes that help ease the way but don’t reduce too much friction, and Probe Silky Light is just too slick to feel natural to me. On the plus side, it is light and comfortable and easy to remove.
Follow-up commentary
I keep this lube on hand just as a backup, but it still falls short for me in terms of both toy use and intercourse. Not bad enough to throw away, but it doesn't get used on a regular basis.

You might like Silk Thick and Rich, which is a heavier consistency with the same slick quality.
