Wet Synergy - lubricant by Wet Lubricants - review by Sam (aka Jul!a)

Synergy is defined as "two or more things functioning together to produce a result not independently obtainable." Wet has this down, with Synergy being able to work well for solo masturbation (LIKE A BOSS), vaginal or anal sexy times (LIKE A BOSS), smoothing frizzy hairs (LIKE A BOSS), and pretty much anything else you might want to use it for. It lasts a long time (LIKE A BOSS), stays in place (LIKE A BOSS), doesn't leave you feeling gross (LIKE A BOSS), and is just all around pretty awesome (LIKE A BOSS).

I think the only downside to it really is that because it's partially silicone based, it may react badly with some of your silicone toys and may be more difficult to clean up than if it were water based.

I'm pretty impressed with what comes out of the bottle. It first comes out sort of like a gel; very easy to manage and control and stays in place well. After it warms up a bit and you spread it around, it does get a bit runnier but keeps working. Between the fingers it feels smooth and velvety, and close to feeling greasy without actually feeling greasy. Maybe oily is the right word there? I didn't find it to be unpleasant, but it was noticeable.

There really wasn't any aroma that I could detect. If I rubbed it into an area and inhaled deeply I could pick up a whiff of something fruity, reminding me a lot of the berry medley Jello I made not too long ago.

Synergy shines in just about every application I've tried it for. A small dollop is more than enough for vaginal sex and easily lasts at least 20-30 minutes. With anal sex I ended up using about 3 times as much as I would have for vaginal sex, but the butthole doesn't self lubricate and I'd much rather use too much than not enough. I could have been fine with a little less, but I didn't feel like I needed to reapply at all while we were going at it.

It wiped off for the most part with a wipe, although you may want to clean up with soap and water as there is a bit of a dry oily feeling left behind. It does go away on its own, but it's noticeable for a while afterwards.

You can get this in two sizes, and I have the smaller 1.9 ounce bottle. As far as lube bottles go, this one is pretty nice. It's nice to look at with its lovely fuchsia color against the black. It's not hard to figure out it's a lube, but it's not terribly embarrassing to leave out either.

The front says "Synergy" and that it's 3 times longer lasting than other Wet water based formulas. The back has the little blurb about why it's awesome and the ingredients: glycerin, deionized water, dimethiconol, sodium polyacrylate, dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, trideceth-6, PEG/PPG, dimethicone, and pentylene glycol. If you have issues with glycerin, you may want to avoid using this one.

Be careful using this in the shower or bathtub or anywhere else with a smooth slick surface. Any spills could create a very slippery and dangerous area.

We have a lot of lube around already, but I couldn't resist buying some a little while ago. This was our first experience with a hybrid lube, and while it doesn't necessarily clean up as well as a water based lube might, the fact that it lasts a lot like a silicone lube would but isn't runny at all completely wins both my husband and myself over. I really can't think of anything all that bad to say about it other than it doesn't clean up quite as easily as it could and the bottle has a tendency to get slippery.
