Ride Me!Ride is possibly the best anal lube ever, and certainly the best lube I've tried to date. It's smooth, clean, and body safe. It isn't just for "dudes" either. This water-based lube will make you want to Ride all night long.
body safe, natural feel, long lasting, faint scent, no residue, easy to apply, no animal testing
dries quickly if you don't use enough, can't be used in the shower
I think the best use for Ride is as an anal lube. It's thick, slick, and stays where it's put, so it offers superior glide when used anally, making the whole experience overall extraordinarily pleasant. It would also make a very nice jack-off lube based on the consistency and the "hand feel" (how it felt when rubbed between two fingers). Of course, it could be used as a standard lube for PIV intercourse or with any type of toy as well, since it's water based it shouldn't react with any materials. It won't work in the shower, however. And it's wonderfully body-safe, there are no ingredients that should be cause for concern. Another possible use for it would be as a massage oil, as in small amounts it can be massaged into the skin and create pleasant glide without being sloppy, oily, or sticky.
Ride is a very thick lube with a silky texture. It's easy to get the exact amount you want when you pour it and it stays exactly where you put it. I've had a drop upside down on my finger as I typed this, and it hasn't moved at all. It isn't sticky or greasy, and it feels extremely pleasant on my skin. Pressed between two fingers it creates a "pillow" of lubrication to prevent friction that almost reminds me of the sensation of rubbing satin or feathers between my fingers. It also remains smooth until it is absorbed naturally by the skin.
Ride has a scent reminiscent of plant-life, very light and difficult to identify without turning to the ingredients list. It smells nice, not overly feminine or artificially scented. It gets it's scent from the plant cellulose it contains. It also has almost no flavor. It tastes like water but for a nearly unnoticeable aftertaste that reminds me of bean sprouts. On a related note, I can't believe I just taste-tested personal lubricant, my life is so surreal.
Using a generous amount of Ride means that it will last a good long time without drying or needing to be reapplied, but using too little means it will be absorbed by the skin and dry up or become ineffective too fast. It lasted more than long enough for me when I coated my fingers thoroughly. I didn't need to wash it off, either. It feels completely natural and it doesn't leave any kind of film or residue. I was able to rub the excess off against my leg and it absorbed without a problem. In fact, it even left my skin softer and more moisturized. It made me all happy inside to find a lube I could use for anal that wouldn't make me feel all sticky/slimy and gross when I was done.
The packaging of this particular lube is both charming and informative. It comes in a screw-top bottle with a pour top that says "Ride" in large font above a silhouette of a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. It also has the words "dude lube" and a label of "water based" on the front. I find it to be artfully done and clever. The package also contains an ingredient list, a compatibility list, safety information, reactivation instructions, where it was produced (USA), and that it wasn't tested on animals. At a glance, you probably wouldn't be able to tell it was lube.
