After trying a whole multitude of lubes, from Astroglide to Liquid Silk, Sliquid Sea is now my go-to for pretty much every purpose. I love the versatility of a water-based lube. Sure, it may not be quite as slippery as something oil- or silicone-based, but not having to worry about which toys I can use it with and which ones I can't is fantastic. I can just keep my little bottle of Sliquid Sea on the windowsill and reach for it when I need some extra slip.

And speaking of slip! When it comes to water-based lubes, I haven't found anything with a better slip factor, and a little goes a long way. It does dry out occasionally, especially with silicone toys, for some reason, but another drop or two easily solves the problem. (Apparently the addition of a little water helps too, but it's never worked out logistically so I can't speak to its effectiveness.)

The occasional stickiness is pretty much the only downside (well, that and the lack of a pump bottle, but that's fairly easily solved with a pump and a bottle). I've never had trouble with staining, which is fantastic. Occasionally I'll notice that there are some dark marks on the sheets, even after everything dries, but they always come out after a wash.

While I've had a lot of irritation, stinging, and burning from lubes in the past (even ones that claim to be hypo-allergenic), I've never had any issues with Sliquid Sea, which is great. There may be nothing worse than having to jump up mid-sex, run pantsless to the shower, and go hose yourself off due to ouch-inducing lube. It's also super awesome that it's vegan and doesn't have any weird chemicals in it. There's no pronounced scent or taste, either, which is a definite improvement over some lubes I've used that have that distinctly smelly "unscented" scents. Sliquid Sea actually doesn't smell like anything.

Another plus is the viscosity. It's not so viscous to be gluey and not come out of the bottle, but it's thick enough that, for the most part, it will stay where it's put until it's needed. There's less lube-wastage and less cleanup.

Beyond the actual functionality, I think it's so awesome that the slip'n'slide comes in part from seaweed! How cool is that?

All in all, I love this lube. I can't think of any reason I would switch to anything else unless Sliquid decided to discontinue it, at which point I would probably throw myself into the sea in protest.

I love your pun at the end. I know that that's entirely unrelated to the content of your review, but when I got midway through that sentence I was like "say it... say it... yes!"
