Silky Sauce!
If you're planning on buying a dildo add this to your shopping cart; it's also an great buy in addition to bring your order high enough to get free shipping.Published: September 30, 2008
Pros:
A little goes a long way. Visually it looks like cum.
Cons:
For the lube connoisseur, this is best for lubing up toys only.
Lubing up before you start your session is important. We wanted to try all the top rated lubes on the site. I have found that most lubes are to sticky or leave a residue after a few minutes of fun. How many times have you had to break the mood and grab some more lube because your vagina has swallowed it up, or it gets on the bed? In the past, the dim lighting makes you guess how much you're actually pouring out of the bottle.
Introducing Liquid Silk. Liquid Silk does live up to its already great rating. If you use toys this is the product to get. Its priced only a little higher but a little goes a long way with this. It comes with a pump so you each time you press it you know how much your getting. Best thing is you only need a half pump for most average sized toys. Its water-based and keeps its consistency when mixed with all your body juices.
For sensitive vaginas and asses, this product has never caused any type of rash or itchiness. If you're wary or super sensitive Liquid Silk is sugar-free so, sex-assured you won't get a yeast infection that you might get from flavored lubes. This stuff is not intended for licking, but if it does happen to get in your mouth, it's nothing you can't handle.
Liquid Silk feels good on your body, it's slick and super slippery, it also really does feel like silk even with the hardest of all plastic, glass or metal toys. Its not as thick as regular lubes so I would only highly recommend this best only for toys. If you're just having regular sex (boring) and for skin on skin penetration and anal play try using a clear and much thicker lube.

Liquid Silk and Silicone Toys
-
So, while looking through highly rated water based lubes, I came across Liquid Silk. Aside from the bitter taste, no one seems to have any complaints.
However, I noticed that the fourth ingredient is Dimethicone - and I was wondering what everyone's experience with this and silicone sex toys was? Is the silicone in Liquid Silk a small enough portion that it has no effect on toys, or is it generally not recommended for that type of play?
Or does the bonding potential of silicone lubes have more to do with the type/quality of silicone than anything else? -
That's a really good question because Dimethicone is a silicone.
Basically it should be ok to use as long as the toy is made of medical grade silicone. There should, in theory, be no reaction. I, personally, wouldn't want to test that out on my own toys though. You can do a patch test on a small part of the toy. The reaction should be immediate if there is going to be one.
Anyone else know about this? -
I have had liquid silk react to a silicone toy. Which sucks because I love it. :(

Thank you for viewing Liquid silk – lubricant review page!

I found that this lube dried up fast and became tackier than I wanted it to. For good water-based lube, I'd recommend Maximus or Probe.
The fact that it looks like cum is a con for me, haha. Creeps me out a bit. But glad it worked for you!
This is really a great lube, and it is my favorite lube for intercourse. Everyone's bodies' natural lube is a little different, but the Liquid Silk matches my natural lube in looks and feel so much that if I use this I can't even tell I have lube on me, just feels like more of my own. Also you may want to be careful using this with toys, because this is not a water based lube. It is in fact a hybrid and contains silicone, so I wouldn't recommend it for use with silicone or skin-like toys as it may deteriorate them or melt them. The silicone also helps it last longer though. I've said enough...I just really love this lube too :)
Thanks for the review :)
I agree Liquid Silk is a good product to lube up your toys prior to insertion.I never thought of it that way. Its thick and sticks to your dildo better than your cock.Maximus is a great lube for body on body contact.
