I'll admit straight off that I'm not one for using lube. I'm normally the type of girl who needs to use a medical-grade waterproof barrier on her bed (that review will come later)... However, even I need a little help sometimes, and that's when I turn to Hathor Aphrodisia's unflavored lube. It's water-based, which means that it's silky smooth, and that it can be used with latex condoms. Hurrah!

Those that are worried about putting strange lab-made chemicals against your nearest and dearest of places don't have to fret: it's not only vegan, eco-friendly, and supports small, independent organic farms, but it's made of all-natural ingredients. One of the main ingredients is horny goat weed, which has been used for thousands of years to supposedly boost male performance, and to rev you up. Added to that, it's glycerin free, and it's free from all the questionable substances that I can't really pronounce. The two women who created this lube are mother and daughter, and they have backgrounds in creating spa treatments. I like to think of this lube as a way better version of a typical spa treatment.

Because I'm not a huge lube-consumer, I like this product because it very closely resembles the look and feel of my natural lubrication. Also, for the men-folk reading this, its consistency also closely resembles pre-cum. However, since this product is more like water than lotion, be careful when getting some out of the bottle -- it moves fast! This lube's not sticky or weirdly thick, so it just sort of blends in after application and stays out of the way, but it works well for a long time. I've never had to reapply this stuff during any sort of solo, or non-solo, play. It also dries clear, without any sort of staining on sheets/clothes/etc. It feels as if it just evaporates, leaving less residue than my own juices do. Amazing!


The only thing is that I'm not a huge fan of is the taste; it's bitter and oddly candy-sweet all at the same time. Although, I'm sure that this does not hold true for the flavored variety. If you like to use lube for oral sex, then stay away, but if you use lube to grease up the gears (in any combination of play), then go for it. You'll be happy you did.
