Silky? Too Slippery!

Probe Silky Light is a decent lubricant, though I found it to be too slippery for my tastes, which I didn't enjoy. Like the Thick and Rich, it has a realistic quality, but I found it to be too thin to feel like "the real thing". If you thought Thick and Rich was too sticky and viscous for your tastes, this is probably a good choice. If you're new to Probe products, however, I really recommend the Thick and Rich over this lube.

Use

Probe Silky Light is a water based, very viscous lubricant. If you're already familiar with Probe Thick and Rich, this is a much thinner, less sticky formula that sacrifices Probe Thick and Rich's famous realism for a more traditional lubricant feel. It can be used for a wide variety of uses, including anal and vaginal sex. It also plays nicely with all kinds of toys and condoms.

This product contains glycerin. If you're sensitive to glycerin you might want to stay away.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube is very, very thin, though it doesn't have a tendency to drip or slide, staying firmly in place. Like Thick and Rich, it has a very realistic quality, but less so than the thick and rich because of its thinness. It is also incredibly slick. I'm not a fan of slick feeling lubricants, as I do like a bit of friction, but if that's your thing Silky Light is a good choice.

It's slightly sticky, but that mostly fades after its been absorbed into the skin.

Taste / Aroma

I couldn't smell anything coming off of this lube, though I did notice a bit of a sweet taste. I don't think it tastes particularly good, so it wouldn't enhance oral sex, but I don't think it'd make it worse either.
    • Light taste
    • No smell

Performance

This product didn't last as long as the Thick and Rich, as I did have to reapply in the middle of my session, but it takes so little in the first place it wasn't that big of a problem. The packaging states it can be reactivated with water, though I haven't tried it yet, and I do think it's a little thin to be diluting it more. Even though I got the sample size, I have more than enough to last a few sessions. With this product, a little bit goes a long way.

I feel like I don't have any major complaints with this lube, other than my own personal preference with enjoying thicker, less slick lubricants. It works very well, it just didn't do much to enhance the experience.

It was a little sticky afterwards, though I didn't feel as though I needed to wash it off. I am sensitive to glycerin, however, so I washed it off anyways.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely

Packaging

I got the sample size (.33 ounces), which comes in a cardboard tube. I really liked the packaging because it doesn't leak, and is fairly easy to apply, which is sometimes a problem with sample sized lubricants.

The packaging is especially nice for travel, because you could bring it on an airplane without getting stopped by security.
    • Does not leak
    • Recyclable
    • Travel friendly

Nice review. I wouldn't be concerned over the Vegetable glycerine. It's not the same as the stuff used in other lubes that give a reaction.
